Producing area of persimmon in Shaanxi

Shaanxi persimmon is mainly produced in Shangluo, Weinan, Fuping and other areas of Shaanxi. Shaanxi persimmon is the fruit of deciduous Arbor persimmon with many varieties. There are famous varieties of Fuping persimmon, whose fruit is flat and round, good quality, seedless and high yield.

Shaanxi persimmon is a cake-like food made from artificially dried persimmon, also known as persimmon biscuits and dried persimmon, which can be used as dim sum stuffing. Persimmon fruit taste sweet, flat, non-toxic; persimmon stem taste astringent, sex flat, into the lung, spleen, stomach, large intestine meridian; it has the effect of clearing heat and moistening the lung, promoting body mass and relieving thirst, invigorating the spleen and resolving phlegm, persimmon and stomach hemostasis; persimmon leaves have hemostatic effect, used in the treatment of hemoptysis, hematochezia, bleeding, hematemesis, recent studies have found that persimmon and persimmon leaves have antihypertensive, diuresis, anti-inflammatory and hemostatic effects.

The persimmon in Caocun Town, Fuping County, Shaanxi Province originated from the Ming Dynasty. It is famous at home and abroad for its large size, soft meat, thick sweet frost and rich nutrition. It was used as a palace tribute during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty and won the State Gold Award after Yangling Agricultural Exposition.
