Fortune tree, also known as fortune tree, melon chestnut, Sino-American kapok, originated from Mexico to Costa Rica. It has high ornamental value. So, what are the breeding methods of wealth trees?

I. Propagation methods of Fortune trees

Wealth trees can be propagated by sowing, cutting and grafting. The cutting time is from late June to early August, preferably in cloudy days or in the morning and evening. The grafting time can be chosen in the middle and late February, using the splitting method, the survival rate can reach 80%.

1. Methods of sowing and propagation of wealth-seeking trees.

(1) if you can meet the temperature of more than 20 ℃, you can sow seeds at any time without worrying about the specific time. But be careful that the temperature doesn't fall.

(2) sow the seeds in the prepared medium, pay attention to cover the fine soil after sowing, about 2 cm thick, and then place in the semi-shade to keep moist.

(3) it can germinate about 7 days after sowing, and the germination temperature is 22 ℃ 26 min. When the seedlings grow to about 25 cm, the seedlings can be properly separated and sparse, so that the seedlings can grow evenly.

(4) nitrogen fertilizer should be applied thinly and phosphorus and potassium fertilizer should be increased for 3 times at seedling stage to promote the expansion of stem base, and the rich tree will be more ornamental after growing up.

2. The method of cutting propagation of wealth-attracting trees.

(1) when cutting, put 1/2 of the cuttings in the rooting solution, soak for 20 to 24 hours, and rinse off with clean water, so that the rich trees can sprout more easily.

(2) insert the prepared cuttings into the perlite medium, the cuttings can be cut straight when the cuttings are short and oblique when the cuttings are longer, and the cutting depth is generally 3 to 5 cm. If the branches are too long, the depth can be increased appropriately.

(3) pour enough water after cutting and pay attention to shading to avoid direct sunlight.

3. The method of grafting and propagation of wealth-attracting trees.

(1) cut the collected scion into a scion with a length of 10 cm and 3 buds of 2 mi. The lower end of the buds at the bottom of the scion is cut into a wedge-shaped slope of 3 cm long from both sides, and the surface of the scion should be flat and smooth.

(2) cut it vertically from the center of the shear section of the rootstock with a cleavage knife, and the split is about 3 cm long. Gently pry open the split with a splitter and insert the cut scion quickly so that the cambium of the scion and the rootstock are aligned so that they can grow together.

(3) immediately after joining, fasten with plastic film tape, do not let the scion and rootstock move, smear the incision with yellow mud or wax to prevent water evaporation and prevent soil from falling into the incision, affecting healing.

(4) then bury all the rootstocks and scions with wet soil.
