Osmanthus fragrans are native to the eastern part of the Himalayas in southwest China. In addition, wild sweet-scented osmanthus is grown in Sichuan, southern Shaanxi, Yunnan, Guangxi, Guangdong, Hunan, Hubei, Jiangxi, Anhui, Henan and other places in China. Now it is widely planted in the Huaihe River Basin and the south. It has formed several national famous sweet-scented osmanthus commodity production bases, such as Lu'an in Anhui, Xianning in Hubei, Taoyuan in Hunan, Suzhou in Jiangsu, Guilin in Guangxi, Wuhan in Hubei, Hangzhou in Zhejiang and Chengdu in Sichuan.

What are the major strains of sweet-scented osmanthus?
