Lycium barbarum leaves are the tender stems and leaves of Lycium barbarum L., which can be used for cooking and making tea. As vegetables, wolfberry leaves are mostly used for soup, such as wolfberry pig liver soup, salted egg wolfberry soup, etc. So, how do you plant wolfberry leaves?

1. Selection of garden soil

The garden plot requires good drainage, deep soil, light soil, sandy soil and loam with good ventilation, soil organic matter content above 1.0%, soil salt content about 0.5%, pH value about 8, groundwater level below 1.2m, and effective living soil layer below 30cm. No garden can be built in low-lying land with long-term accumulation of water or in areas where the atmosphere, irrigation water and soil are polluted. According to the size and terrain characteristics of the garden, the drainage and irrigation system (including branch canals and branch ditches) shall be planned first to ensure smooth drainage, and the production roads shall be convenient for transporting fertilizer and fresh fruits, so as to be reasonably set up.

II. Requirements for planting

Sowing mainly in spring, trenching and drilling according to row spacing of 40cm, sowing depth of 1.5- 3 cm, covering soil of 1- 3 cm after sowing. After the seedlings emerge, water them in due course. When the root diameter is 0.7 cm, it can be transplanted.

III. Field management

Intertillage weeding: intertillage time in May-July, the first intertillage in May, intertillage depth of about 10cm, weed removal and removal of roots under the crown of seedlings and stem near the sprouting of excessive branches. The second time of cultivation in early June, into the fruit ripening period in time to cultivate weeding, keep the surface of the garden clean, easy to pick up the fruit during the harvest period. The third time of intertillage is in late July to remove weeds, facilitate fruit picking, and enhance the spraying effect of pest control.

Turning and sunning garden: after nearly half a year of production management and artificial trampling during fruit picking, the live soil layer is rigid, so it is necessary to turn and sunning the soil deeply from late September to early October, and the turning and sunning depth is about 25cm.

Fertilizer and water management: according to the law of nutrient growth and fertilizer requirement in the annual growth period of Lycium barbarum, topdressing is carried out outside the root in the middle of May, the middle of June and the last ten days of August, mainly nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilizer, supplemented by trace fertilizer. Basically, it is irrigated once every 20 days or so, and enters the fruit expansion stage, and irrigates once every 15 days.

IV. Timely harvest

The harvest of medlar can start 50-60 days after self-planting. Harvest vigorous branches first, leaving the rest of the young branches to continue to grow, when the new branches grow to 40-50 cm before the aging of the base leaves, cut young branches at the base, can be harvested in several times.

To grow fresh and delicious wolfberry leaves, every step of field management is important.
