Cucumber is crisp and refreshing when eaten raw and cooked. It is a kind of vegetable that people often eat. It can not only be planted in the soil, but also can be cultivated without soil. What is the soilless cultivation technique of cucumber?

Soilless cultivation techniques of Cucumber

1. Blanch the seeds with warm water before sowing to kill the pathogenic fungi and bacteria on the surface of the seeds and at the same time passivate the viruses in the seeds. Put the seeds in 55-60 ℃ hot water of 4-6 times the seed volume, add cold water after 10-15 minutes to lower the water temperature to 30 ℃, then soak for 5-8 hours, remove them, wrap them in cotton cloth and germinate at 25-28 ℃.

2. Put the germinated seeds into a soilless culture dish to raise seedlings, put 1-2 seeds in each point, and then sprinkle a layer of peat, vermiculite and perlite, or replace the peat with coconut bran. The matrix needs to be sterilized before use. Add 500 grams of carbendazim per ton and stir, cover the film for a week and dry for half a month. After sprinkling, wet with clear water, control the temperature of the environment, in the appropriate temperature for 3-4 days, the cucumber seedlings will come out.

3. Prepare the cultivation bed before planting and prepare the nutrient solution. Try to put the nutrient solution into the cultivation bed to see if it can deliver the nutrient solution normally. After everything is normal, wait until the seedlings have 3-4 leaves, pull out the seedlings from the bottom and move them into the cultivation bed. Remember to water once after planting, and the seedlings can grow through the nutrient solution flowing through the roots. After about 3-4 days, the survival rate can be tested. Basically, it survived 100%.

4. A more important step in the management of seedling stage is to control the concentration of nutrient solution. In soilless cultivation, the growing period of seedlings is relatively fast, and it is easy to aging. After planting, it is generally necessary to pour 400-500ml of nutrient solution every day. Wait until 2000-2500 ml per day during the development period, and reduce the concentration of the nutrient solution in time when the development of melon seedlings is completed.

5. The temperature should be controlled at 15-25 ℃ during the growth of melon seedlings. Install the bracket or stretch the lines in the greenhouse when the plant grows to 15-20 cm, allowing it to grow along the scaffolds and lines.

6. the main diseases and insect pests that occur under the condition of low temperature are powdery mildew, gray mildew, whitefly, aphids and so on. The principle of "prevention first and comprehensive control" should be followed in the control of withered branches and leaves, timely removal of frozen branches and leaves, and reduction of the source of pathogens. Downy mildew is generally controlled by virulent mildew and Prike, while powdery mildew is controlled by strychnine. Insect pests use related agents.

Cucumbers should be harvested in time when they grow to 13-18 cm, and measures should be taken for storage and transportation.
