We all know that as long as we have the conditions at home, we can grow our own onion seedlings, and they are absolutely delicious compared to the ones sold on the market, because what we grow is the natural growth cycle of onions, and there are no chemical ripening drugs. So how to grow onion seedlings?

First, how to grow onion seedlings

1. Select seeds

Spring onion seeds are flat, somewhat similar to round small seeds, like the size of sorghum rice seeds, if they are your own home green onion seeds, you should remove the impurities inside, pick out the shrunken seeds, and leave the seeds with full grains and strong vitality to be planted.

2. Prepare the land and make beds.

Spring onions like fertile, breathable soil. Before sowing seeds, level the ground and make a bed, so that it is easier to water the land in the future, and then turn the ground over again to make the land soft and transparent, which is conducive to the germination and growth of spring onions.

3. Sowing seeds

Spring onions can be planted for two seasons a year in March and April in spring and October in autumn. After the ground is done, if it doesn't rain and is relatively dry, it needs to be watered first. After watering for three or four days, it can be sown. The seeds of spring onions are relatively small and do not need to be too deep when sowing. About 3cm, be careful not to plant too sparse seeds, you can sow more seeds, and eat the seedlings while growing.

4. Watering and fertilization

After the spring onion grows, if it is too dense, it can grow between seedlings, and the management during this period includes watering, fertilizing, pest control, weeding and so on. When the green onion grows to more than a foot tall, if you want it to grow into a green onion, it should be planted separately.

5. Customized cultivation

Pull out the spring onions, transplant them to a relatively open place, and plant them in a row with a distance of about two or three inches and a distance of one and a half to two feet, and the planting depth should be deeper, so that the green onions will grow longer and look good in the future.

If spring onions are planted just to eat, you don't have to plant them, just pull them out of the bed and eat them.
