Lantern fruit was originally a wild plant, because of its sweet and sour taste popular, high nutritional content, many people began to plant, so how to plant lantern fruit?

I. Seedling

First in the greenhouse seedlings, seedlings before preparing a suitable seedbed and nutrient soil.

The seedlings are mainly raised in plastic greenhouses or medium greenhouses. The seedbeds should be located in places with high terrain and good drainage, and the plots where the previous crops have not been planted with eggplant vegetables should be selected. Each hectare needs greenhouse or shed nursery area of 80-200 square meters.

Seedbed: field soil free of germs and pests, rich in humus and available nutrients, neutral in chemical reaction, good in structure, loose and not hardened, and free from long and residual herbicides. Bed soil should be fully turned, fertilizer should be fully decomposed, and fertilizer should be uniform.

Nutrient soil: biological organic fertilizer (lantern fruit fertilizer) 1:1 or 2:1 garden soil. If the soil is sticky, add 10% fine sand, mix well and sieve, seal with formalin solution for sterilization and insecticide, open and dry for 48h, and accumulate for later use.

The bed soil of the seeding bed is generally 6-10 cm thick, and 100-125 kg of nutrient soil is required for each square meter of seedbed. The bed soil of the transplanting bed is generally 12-17 cm, and 150-200 kg of nutrient soil is required for each square meter of seedbed. Mix 70% Dixon and 70% Thiophanate-methyl 1∶1 evenly, spray 1000 times water to wet bed soil evenly.

II. Sowing

After germination, sow seeds at the right time. After sowing, cover with a layer of soil and plastic film.

Seed soaking and germination are also required before sowing:

Soaking: usually use hot water at about 50℃ for 12-15 minutes, and then place it at room temperature. During the soaking period, warm water of about 30℃ is changed every 8-10 hours, and the sticky substances in the outer skin are removed by rubbing with hands, and the soaking time is 20-24 hours.

Germination: the water swelling of the seeds, placed in the appropriate temperature, to promote seed germination. The seeds are small and the dosage is small. The fine sand dressing method is generally used. The fine sand dosage is about 8-10 times the seed amount (the fine sand needs to be disinfected with boiled water). The seeds are wrapped with wet cloth and germinated at 28-30℃. Turn twice a day, and wash with warm water, send out a lot of respiratory heat, breathe oxygen, eliminate carbon dioxide, continue to germinate after washing. 5-7 The sky can sprout.

Sowing should be carried out on a windless sunny afternoon. Pour sole water on the flat bed surface (the nutrient soil of the paper tube should be poured thoroughly). The depth of the permeable layer of bottom water is about 6-8 cm. After the water seeps down, sprinkle a thin layer of nutrient soil on the bed surface or in the paper tube, and then sow the seeds for promoting germination, 3 seeds per hole, and then cover 0.5-1 cm of fine dry soil. Cover the soil in time and evenly, cover with a layer of clean plastic film after covering the soil to raise temperature and preserve moisture, and remove it when the seedlings are top soil.

III. Field management

During the growth period of lantern seedlings, field management such as temperature, moisture and fertilization should be done well.

Among them, fertilizer should be applied to all the agricultural fertilizer and chemical fertilizer to be applied as base fertilizer, and the ridge should be broken and fertilizer should be applied along with the ridging to meet the fertilizer demand in the later stage of lantern fruit. There are three advantages: 1 is quick effect;2 is full of formula fertilization nutrients;3 is not easy to greedy late maturity.

IV. Planting

After the fruit seedlings grow to a certain extent, they can be transplanted.

Field planting plant spacing is 1×1 m, planting hole depth and width are 40 cm, each hole is applied with farm manure 5 kg. When planting, the seedlings are placed in the pit, one person lifts the seedlings, one person cultivates the soil, solidly, irrigates enough water, and the hole surface is required to be 8-10 cm lower than the ground after planting, so as to maintain moisture during the growing season. After planting, special attention should be paid to strengthening soil management, removing weeds, irrigating in time in dry weather, and fertilizing 2-3 times a year. Every year in mid-late October after the leaves buried soil cold, buried soil thickness to not expose branches can be.
