How to raise Black King Kong?

Black King Kong is generally used to decorate the interior and make potted plants. Its leaves are thick and broad, and the leaves are surrounded by layers of foliage, making the whole plant look lively. How to raise Black King Kong better?

1. Black King Kong likes loose and fertile humus soil, which can withstand light alkali and slight acid. We can use humus soil, garden soil and river sand to mix evenly and add a small amount of liquid fertilizer as planting soil.

2. Black King Kong can choose cutting, pressing or seed propagation and so on. Like cuttings, young trees are generally selected for cuttings with terminal buds. There is more milk at the cut, cut the branches, insert them into the water for several hours, wash the incision, and then insert it into the wet sand bed. Maintain sparse light, spray moisturizing, about 25 days to root, about 2 months on the basin, the same year as a small pot for ornamental.

3. Black King Kong likes the sun, so keep it in a sunny place during maintenance, shade or put it in an indoor ventilated place under high temperature and strong light in summer.

4. The suitable temperature for the growth of Black King Kong is 20-32 ℃. It is both afraid of heat and not resistant to cold. The overwintering temperature should not be lower than 10 ℃. If the temperature is low, its leaves will turn yellow and fall off.

5. In terms of water and fertilizer, it likes fertilizer and water. Adequate water and fertilizer must be given during the peak growing season. Usually to keep the basin soil moist, high temperature season every morning and evening each irrigated once, and often spray water on the branches and leaves, otherwise the leaf edge is easy to scorch. But do not accumulate water in the basin, generally apply liquid fertilizer or compound fertilizer 1-2 times a month, after autumn, gradually reduce the number of fertilization and watering.

6. Potted seedlings should be placed in a semi-shady place. Young seedlings need to change pots every spring, and adult plants can change pots every 2-3 years. When changing the basin, cut off part of the curled old root and increase the humus soil and base fertilizer.

7. Topping when growing to a certain height can promote the occurrence of new branches, and truncating lateral branches in spring can promote the emergence of more new branches.
