As a kind of ornamental and medicinal plant, millennium wood has a strong effect, especially its slender and colorful leaves, which are really beautiful. But does a pot of millennium wood feel monotonous? Many flower friends want to try to reproduce a few pots by themselves, so how to reproduce the millennium wood?

Propagation methods of millennium wood

(1) Cuttage propagation of millennium wood.

1. Cutting time

Cutting propagation of thousand-year-old wood can be carried out in spring and summer every year, when it is its peak growing season, with high branch activity and high rooting survival rate.

2. Cuttings selection

On the thousand-year-old wood pot, one-and-a-half-year-old woody stems were cut as cuttings, with a length of about 8mi 15cm, and stem segments with more than 3 bud holes were required.

Note: the cut of the cuttings should be close to the lowest bud hole, and the section should be smooth, which is beneficial to rooting. In addition, cuttings leave as few leaves as possible.

3. Cutting substrate

For the cutting substrate of millennium wood, it is best to use moist plain sandy soil as the substrate.

4. Cuttings start

Before cuttage, disinfect the cuttings with alcohol, then insert it into the substrate to expose 1 stroke 2, and wrap the exposed parts in plastic bags to maintain humidity. After that, it can take root after maintaining room temperature for 20-25 ℃ for about one month.

(2) striping propagation of millennium wood

In addition to cutting, the propagation method of millennium wood is also often used high-altitude pressing, the propagation method is generally carried out in May-June, the specific operation: in the millennium wood pot, select a strong main stem. 20 cm from the top, ring peeling, 1 cm wide. Then cover the wound with moist moss and wrap it with plastic film and keep it at room temperature for more than 20 ℃. Rooting will take place after about 40 days.

(3) sowing and propagation of millennium wood

In September, the seeds of millennium wood will mature, so the propagation method of millennium wood can also be sowed. Because the seeds of millennium wood are large, they are often sown in shallow pots. After sowing, the seeds are kept at room temperature of 2427 ℃, and they will germinate after 2 weeks.
