Radix Isatidis, commonly used aliases Indigo Root, Blue Indigo Root, Daqing Root, is a kind of traditional Chinese medicine. The following is to introduce the cultivation techniques of Radix Isatidis.

First, select land and fertilize

Choose sandy soil with deep soil layer, loose and fertile soil and good drainage or soil rich in humus. Clean up the stones and other sundries in the soil, and then combine ploughing with 3000 kilograms of farm manure per mu, rake fine and level it to make beds or ridges.

Second, sowing seeds

Sowing time is selected in late April, open a 2cm deep ditch on the border or ridge, reasonably control the row spacing of the plant, sow the seeds evenly in the ditch, then cover the soil and step on it, and water to keep the soil water content at 60% Mui 70%. Generally, seedlings can emerge after a week.

III. Seedling stage management

When the seedlings grow to 4-5cm, the seedlings should be fixed, the soil should be loosened and weeds should be removed, and the distance between seedlings should be controlled at 3-4cm. After the seedlings are fixed, the soil should not be too wet, which is beneficial to root growth.
