In the process of growing grapes, many people often have a headache because of one thing, that is, how to better breed grapes. The following editor will introduce the methods of grape reproduction.

The main results are as follows: (1) Cuttage propagation is the most simple and commonly used method for grape propagation. Grape stem segment is easy to root. Cut mature annual branches into stem segments with 1-4 buds and insert them into soil. Under suitable temperature conditions, grape stems will take root and sprout and grow into cuttings. Because the cuttings are self-rooted seedlings, they are generally resistant to cold and disease.

(2) Graft propagation is also a common method of grape reproduction. In this method, the excellent varieties are grafted on the rootstocks with strong resistance, and the two are combined to form new plants, which are called grafted seedlings. Because the grafted seedlings use rootstocks with strong disease resistance or cold resistance, the seedlings have strong resistance and adaptability, so they are suitable for use in root nodule aphid infected areas and cold areas, and sometimes used for variety renewal. But the propagation technique is more difficult and laborious than cuttings.

(3) striping propagation is generally used in some varieties which are difficult to root in cuttage propagation. The method is to press the exuberant branches that do not leave the female parent under the soil to promote each bud on the branch to germinate and take root to form a new plant. The propagation speed of this method is also fast, and it is often used in the transformation of old vineyards.
