Chinese cabbage is a nutrient-rich vegetables, planted in southern China, the main edible parts are fresh flowers and leaves, then how to plant Chinese cabbage?

I. Soil

Chinese broccoli does not require much soil for planting, but it is best not to carry out continuous cropping, and it is not suitable for planting Chinese broccoli where the previous crop is cruciferous. If you want high yield broccoli, it is best to choose organic matter rich, water and fertilizer retention strong, moderate pH sandy loam or loam. Do not plant in heavy clay and sand, permeability is too poor.

II. Fertilization

The growth of broccoli has a large demand for nutrients, but we should apply topdressing reasonably. During the growing season, kale does not need much nutrients, so it is not necessary to apply topdressing when the base fertilizer is sufficient. When the seedlings are well developed and the flowers grow slowly, we need to apply topdressing, mainly with nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium ternary compound fertilizer, among which the proportion of potassium fertilizer is the largest, because the absorption capacity of potassium in broccoli is the strongest. Of course, if there are conditions, it is best to combine organic fertilizer and chemical fertilizer, so as to deliberately improve the quality of broccoli.

III. Temperature

Kale has temperature requirements. The seeds of broccoli generally sprout at a temperature of 25 to 30 degrees Celsius, while the best temperature for broccoli to grow flowers is between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius. It is best to have a large temperature difference between day and night, which is more conducive to the growth of broccoli. If the temperature exceeds 30 degrees, it is very unfavorable for the development of broccoli, and may even cause the plant to wither, so we had better carry out physical cooling in summer.

IV. Moisture

Chinese broccoli needs more water in its whole growing period because it likes moisture and is not drought tolerant. Then we should water frequently during the growth of broccoli, keep the soil moist, the humidity of the field is best controlled at about 85%, of course, the amount of watering each time is not too large, although its waterlogging tolerance is strong, but if there is too much water, it will also cause the roots of the plant to rot.

V. Light

Chinese broccoli is a very shade tolerant vegetable, so it needs plenty of light during its growth. Although it has no requirement for the length of light, it should maintain uniform light every day, and there should be no shortage of light, otherwise the development of broccoli will be slow, and it is easy to appear stunted.

There are many ways to eat broccoli, which can be mixed cold or fried. It is loved by people in the south. It is also very simple to plant and suitable for mass cultivation.
