Blueberry is a perennial low shrub, but many people want to keep blueberries indoors, so can blueberries be grown indoors?

Blueberries can be planted indoors, can be made into potted blueberries for cultivation, you can choose a small pot at the beginning of the culture, and then change the pot when the blueberry plants grow up.

The specific methods of indoor planting blueberries are as follows:

1. Selection of basin

You'd better choose the mud basin. The mud basin is breathable, the price is cheap, the disadvantage is not very beautiful. If you can't buy mud pots, you can choose pottery pots, followed by purple sand pots and plastic pots. Never use glazed porcelain pots.

2. Distribution of soil

Blueberry can grow healthily in acidic medium, and the pH value of cultivated soil is between 4 and 5, which is the most suitable for blueberry growth. This problem bothers many blueberry lovers because the pH value of pastoral soil is generally between 6 and 7, and even the acidic soil sold in flower and bird markets has a minimum pH value of 5.5 to 6.

3. Slow seedling

After the blueberry seedlings are planted in a basin, they are kept out of the sun indoors and placed in a ventilated place for a week. This process is called slow seedling. After a week, you can move to the balcony for normal maintenance.

4. Watering

Blueberries like to get wet, especially in summer. They need enough water every day. But we should also be careful that there should be no stagnant water, otherwise the roots will rot. If you catch up with a rainy day, blueberries don't have to go indoors, no matter how heavy the rain is, as long as the flowerpot is permeable. In the growing season, after several days of overcast and rain, blueberry leaves are green and vibrant, and new leaves grow quickly.

5. Lighting

Blueberries like the sun and can't die in the sun at 40 ℃ in summer. They can endure the high temperature of 40-50 ℃ in the growing season, and should be given enough water in the morning. Without enough sunlight, blueberries will stagnate and will not bear fruit even if they blossom.

6. Fertilization

Blueberries don't have a high demand for fertilizer, but fat will hurt it. There is a certain amount of rotten leaf soil in the medium, which can basically meet the growth needs of blueberries, and usually needs appropriate amount of topdressing to ensure the normal growth and quality of the fruit.
