The main producing areas of Fujian white tea are Zhenghe County, Nanping City, Songxi County, Jianyang City, Fuding City, Ningde City and other places.
1. Northern Fujian producing areas-Songxi County, Zhenghe County, Jianyang City, Nanping City, Fujian Province
Mountainous and hilly landforms, the average altitude is about 800m, the annual average temperature is about 16 ℃, the annual precipitation is more than 1600mm, and the soil is mainly red and yellow soil.
Songxi, Zhenghe area is mostly mountainous and hilly areas, the terrain is high in the north and low in the south, and the elevation is mostly 400m / 1000m. The highest peak reaches more than 1300 meters. The tea area in the northeast is red soil, and the hilly land with medium slope mostly belongs to red soil and young red soil. The lower end of the hilly or hillside is mostly podzolized red soil. The soil layer is as deep as 100Pu 150 cm, and the texture is mostly loam clay, clay loam and sandy loam. The porosity is more than 50%. The pH value is 5 and the color is 6. The content of organic matter is medium. The fertility of the surface layer is consistent, and the tea root goes deep into the bottom layer. Most of the northwest mountain areas belong to yellow soil, the soil layer is about 100 cm deep, and the texture is similar to that of red soil. The porosity is more than 53% in the surface layer and less than 50% in the bottom layer.
The pH value is 5.5 and the color is 6.4. The surface layer of fertility is fatter. Due to the influence of soil development and artificial tillage, yellow soil and podzolized yellow soil are formed, in which the depth of podzolic yellow soil is up to 150 cm and is rich in organic matter.
2. Eastern Fujian-Fuding City, Ningde City, Fujian Province
Fuding City belongs to the subtropical monsoon climate, with sufficient rainfall, close to the mountain and the sea, mostly 500,800m above sea level, with an annual average temperature of 18.5 ℃, an annual mean rainfall of 1669.5mm, and a red and yellow soil. Fuding City is also a famous tourist city with a beautiful environment.
Fuding is one of the coastal counties in northeastern Fujian Province, located between 26 °52 °N and 27 °26 °N and 119 °55 °E and 120 °43'E. It is bordered by the East China Sea in the southeast, Cangnan County in Zhejiang Province in the northeast, Taishun County in Zhejiang Province in the northwest, Zherong County in the west and Xiapu County in the south, with a total land area of 1461.7 square kilometers and a sea area of 14959.7 square kilometers. The whole territory is surrounded by mountains on three sides, mountains and hills account for 91.03% of the total land area, and basin valleys and plains account for 8.97%. The territory has a remarkable maritime climate, dense vegetation and rich non-metallic mineral deposits.
The area of red soil in the territory is 1.4502 million mu, accounting for 66.14% of the total land area, which is mainly distributed in the hills and mountains below 700m. The parent rocks of soil formation are mainly tuff and granite. The soil is acidic and the soil layer is deep. Yellow soil is mainly distributed in the mountainous area above 700 to 800 meters above sea level, with an area of 39000 mu. 12600 mu of purple soil in the county is mainly distributed in some hilly areas of Guanling, Qianqi, Tongcheng, nodding, Guanyang and other towns. Purple soil is a kind of lithologic soil developed mostly from purple or purplish red tuff, with sticky texture and poor content of organic matter, but rich in available potassium.
