Poria cocos are mainly produced in Anhui, Yunnan and Hubei. In addition, Hebei, Henan, Shandong, Zhejiang, Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi, Hunan, Sichuan, Guizhou, Shanxi and other places are also cultivated. Among them, Poria cocos produced in Yunnan are more authentic, because Yunnan is the most suitable for Poria cocos growth. So, what is the cultivation technology of Poria cocos?

1. Strain cultivation

There is a certain difference between Poria cocos and other medicinal materials, the main reason is that it belongs to a facultative parasite, so it is necessary to prepare materials for mycelium cultivation before planting, so that it can grow normally. Poria cocos, the most favorable nutrient for its growth is Lai pine wood, so we need to prepare Lai pine wood, and then divide it into sections or make trees to prepare materials, each section is about one meter in length, remove the bark and put it on the ground, and then cover it with grass.

2. Land selection and preparation

Poria cocos cultivation is best selected in the slope of sand with good drainage, so the drainage effect will be better, followed by deep turning, fine raking of the soil, and then heap soil for disinfection and sterilization, and it should be noted that continuous cropping of Poria cocos is prohibited in the planting land, because there will be a large number of other fungi that will affect the growth of Poria cocos. Wait until about half a month before inoculation need to be a deep turn, so that can thoroughly understand the impurities and pests in the soil, to ensure the growth of Poria cocos.

3. Inoculation and planting

Poria cocos can be inoculated in spring and autumn. first of all, we need to select suitable bacteria or fresh Poria cocos, and then open the cellar along the slope on the whole ground and put the pieces of wood along the opened cellar. then we need to disinfect the bacteria and the people who are vaccinated comprehensively, so as to avoid bacterial infection. After disinfection, it will be placed evenly at both ends of the wood or at the interface, then sprinkle with a layer of termite control agent, and finally cover it gently with soil.

4. Field management

A week or so after inoculation, white mycelium will grow. We should check the emergence of bacteria in the field in time. If there is a lack of bacteria, we should replant it in time, and then check every ten days or so to see how the military situation of Poria cocos is. There are no dead bacteria or foreign bacteria, and if they are removed in time, they will be infected with other healthy strains. Wait until half a month later, if termites appear in the soil, we have to kill them, because termites are the natural enemies of Poria cocos growth. Finally, we should pay attention to the water in the field, if too much water should be discharged in time, if the wood is exposed to the ground, it should be treated with soil cultivation, and so on.

Timely harvest is also very important. Poria cocos are generally mature 8-10 months after inoculation. Poria cocos harvested had better be stacked in an indoor shelter, covered with straw for 5-6 days, and then spread out for 1-2 days.
