Diao melon is a perennial climbing herb, there are antipyretic thirst, diuretic, antitussive expectorant and other effects, then how to plant diao melon?

I. Selection of land

Choose the right land for planting, and prepare the soil before planting, so that the melon can grow better.

1. Choose areas with abundant sunshine, fertile soil and high terrain;

2. Leveling the soil before planting can improve the fertility of the soil and increase the nutrients and moisture in the soil;

3. Cultivate and expose the soil, and then spray quicklime to disinfect the soil, eliminate germs and reduce the incidence;

4. Apply enough base fertilizer and stir it fully with the soil. The base fertilizer can be decomposed farm manure.

II. Seedling cultivation and transplanting

Select suitable varieties of hanging melon for seeding and seedling raising, and transplant after the seedlings grow to a certain extent.

The seeds are treated first, dried and rotten seeds are selected out, and then the remaining seeds are soaked with chemicals such as carbendazim, and after two days, they can be sown and seedlings can be raised. Keep the seedbed soil moist, control the surrounding environment, increase the seedbed nutrition, and transplant the seeds after germination.

III. Frame erection

Because hanging melon is a climbing plant, it needs to be shelved before transplanting.

The specific erection work needs to be planned according to its own planting amount and area. After setting up the frame, start transplanting. Pay attention to preventing injury to axillary buds when transplanting.

IV. Field management

After transplanting, weeding, topdressing and watering should be carried out reasonably.

After planting, weeding is carried out once a year in spring and winter. After each intertillage weeding, fertilization is combined. When the vine grows to more than 30cm, it is necessary to erect a shed to guide the vine. After the vines are put on the shelves, pay attention to pruning and branching, remove weak vines, excessive stem vines, excessive axillary buds and branches, promote nutrient concentration, and facilitate fruit. Artificial pollination and heavy application of base fertilizer should be carried out during flowering and fruiting period.
