Plant growth process is inseparable from nutrients, because the basic fertilizer can not meet the later growth, usually should be appropriate topdressing. Many people do not know what wax fertilizer is, if it is a relatively weak seedling how to apply wax fertilizer?

First, what is wax fertilizer?

The so-called wax fertilizer is the fertilizer applied to crops during the overwintering period. if the base fertilizer is not applied enough, adding wax fertilizer has the following advantages: first, it has the effect of strong rhizome and anti-freezing. Wax fertilizer has a good effect on plant rooting, tiller protection, seedling strength and temperature increase, and it can also enhance the cold resistance of crops by increasing the sugar content in crops; second, winter and spring use. As the name implies, the application of wax fertilizer in winter can also provide sufficient nutrients for the growth of crops after the beginning of spring.

Second, how to apply wax fertilizer to weak seedlings?

1. Fertilizer should be applied according to the fertility of the land.

For the land with sufficient basic fertilizer and sufficient fertility, we can not apply fertilizer or apply a small amount of fertilizer; for the land with poor soil fertility, we can increase the application of phosphate and potassium fertilizer; for many years, the use of chemical fertilizer can appropriately increase the application of organic fertilizer, but we should try to avoid excessive fertilization; sandy soil because Rain Water erosion, fertilizer loss, fertilization to achieve a small number of times. In addition, fertilizers should also try to choose darker ones, which will help to increase the soil temperature. For example, darker fertilizers such as plant ash, peat fertilizer and retting fertilizer can be selected in winter.

2. Selective fertilization according to the types of overwintering crops

Just like rape, the mixture of barnyard manure and phosphate fertilizer can be applied after composting, fertilizing between the rows of rape field, and cultivating soil to protect the root, usually from December of each year to January of the following year. Fertilization of early-maturing varieties is earlier than that of late-maturing varieties. Phosphate fertilizer can improve the cold resistance and freezing resistance of crops. The application of wax fertilizer of wheat is basically the same as that of rape, but the time is slightly different, usually in mid-December and late December. Early wheat and strong seedlings should apply more coarse soil fertilizer, while late wheat and weak wheat can add phosphate fertilizer to soil fertilizer.

3. Fertilize according to the growth of crops

The green with thick and thick leaves does not apply wax fertilizer if it grows well; if the leaves are green, you can apply less wax fertilizer; if the leaves are yellow and weak, you should apply more fertilizer, especially if you sow crops too late, you should apply both slow-acting fertilizer and quick-acting fertilizer.

4. Adjust fertilization according to the weather

If the temperature is relatively low, slow fertilizers such as barnyard manure, ash fertilizer, compost, pond mud, human and animal feces and urine can be applied, while when the temperature is high, chemical fertilizers such as ammonium bicarbonate, urea and ammonium chloride can be applied, preferably in sunny days. This is conducive to fertilizer decomposition, and it is good to choose ammonium bicarbonate as wax fertilizer, which is more conducive to crop growth.

Of course, the choice of wax fertilizer should be based on organic fertilizer. According to the type and growth of crops, chemical fertilizer should be matched appropriately. If the seedlings are relatively weak, they can mainly choose human dung, urine and nitrogen fertilizer; the stronger seedlings can be pond mud, soil miscellaneous fertilizer, and cake fertilizer, but if the application is relatively dry, they should be properly watered to resist drought and use water to adjust fertilizer. the effect will be better.
