1. Water management

Slow seedling water was watered once after 3-4 days of planting. Water is watered every 7 days or so in the rainless season. The early stage of plant growth is in the high temperature and rainy season, so it is necessary to prevent both drought and waterlogging.

In the whole growth period of cauliflower, there are two peak periods of water demand: one is the rosette stage, the other is the rosette formation stage. During the whole growth process, water should be flexibly used according to the weather and the growth of cauliflower. Generally, small water is watered frequently in the early stage, and the watering interval becomes longer with the decrease of temperature in the later stage.

2. Fertilizer management

In addition to applying sufficient basic fertilizer, cauliflower needs more nitrogen fertilizer in the early growth stage because of the exuberant growth of stems and leaves. Fertilizer is generally applied three times in the whole growth period, that is, after slow seedling, in the early stage of closing row (the period of the most vigorous growth of cauliflower), and in the early stage of heading, in order to ensure the healthy growth of the plant and the normal expansion of the bulb, a small amount of topdressing can also be applied when the bulb expands to about 15 cm, so as to increase the yield of the flower head.

3. Ploughing and weeding

It is easy to grow weeds in high temperature and rain. When plastic film mulching is not used, it should be ploughed in time after slow seedling to promote new root sprouting, shallow ploughing, do not hurt the plant, generally ploughing 2 or 3 times.

4. Cover the bouquet

The bulb of cauliflower is easy to turn yellowish in direct sunlight, and may grow leaflets in the bulb, reducing the quality. Therefore, when the flower ball is about 10 cm, the main vein of the outer leaf is broken and the flower ball is covered. In areas with frost, bundle leaf protection should be carried out, and attention should be paid to that the bundle should not be too tight, so as not to affect the growth of the flower head.
