Touch incense is a kind of potted plant with unique fragrance, which is famous for its fragrance like apple fragrance. Many people want to keep it, so is it poisonous? Is it suitable to keep it indoors?

First, the basic introduction of bumping incense

The incense is a subshrubby perennial herb of Labiatae and Tripterygium, which is much branched and the whole plant is covered with fine white villi. Fleshy leaves, decussate, green, ovoid, margin obtusely serrate. The stem is thin, creeping, branched, the leaves are round, the leaves are hairy, the flowers are small and white.

Because touching its leaves will give off fragrance, it is named "touch incense".

Touch incense originated in the Cape of good Hope in Africa, Europe and South-West Asia, and then introduced into China. It likes to be warm and cold, and the suitable temperature is 25 ℃ ~ 30 ℃. In winter, the temperature is more than 5 ℃ ~ 10 ℃, and the poor growth below 5 ℃ is easy to cause freezing injury, so it needs to be cultivated indoors or in greenhouse.

Second, is touching incense toxic? Is it suitable to keep it indoors?

Touch incense itself is non-toxic and suitable for indoor breeding, but people who are prone to allergies had better keep touch incense outdoors so as not to cause allergies.

In addition to indoor greening, touch incense can also be used for making tea, brewing wine, cooking and so on.

Matters needing attention in bumping into incense culture

1. Touch incense is not resistant to water and dampness, so we must water less after summer, and we should control watering in winter. Improper operation will cause leaves to turn yellow.

2. The incense is cultivated in the greenhouse all the year round, which requires good ventilation and freshness, otherwise it is easy to be harmed by shell insects, resulting in yellowing of leaves, so it should be cultured in a well-ventilated area.

3. When you touch the fragrance and like the sun, the fleshy leaves will be thick in the sunny environment, and the leaves will become flat and thin when the light is insufficient. The time to place the light should be appropriate, and the high temperature will also cause the leaves to turn yellow.
