The disease mainly infects the branches of plants and forms disease spots on the plants. With the severity of the disease, it will lead to the death of the infected parts. What is the specific medicine for withered branches?

I. Specific medicine for withered branches

Trichoderma harzianum is one of the most effective drugs for dead branch disease, which can form a protective cover on the surface of plants to prevent pathogenic fungi from infecting plants.

2. Mechanism of Trichoderma harzianum

Trichoderma harzianum can grow rapidly in the root circumference and leaf circumference of the plant, occupy the site on the surface of the plant, and form a protective cover, just like putting boots on the plant, to prevent pathogenic fungi from contacting the root system and leaf surface of the plant, so as to protect the roots and leaves of the plant from infection of the above pathogenic bacteria, and ensure that the plant can grow healthily.

During the interaction between Trichoderma spp. and pathogen, host hyphae secrete some substances that make Trichoderma spp. grow towards host fungi. Once host fungi are recognized by Trichoderma spp. parasites, parasitic relationship will be established. After Trichoderma recognize host fungi, Trichoderma filaments grow parallel and spirally along host hyphae, and produce attached cellular branches to attach to host hyphae, dissolve cell wall by secreting extracellular enzymes, penetrate host hyphae, absorb nutrients, and then kill pathogenic fungi.

Trichoderma harzianum can secrete some antibiotics, which can inhibit the growth and colonization of pathogenic bacteria and reduce the harm of pathogenic bacteria.

In addition to prevention and control, cultivation management should be strengthened to enhance plant growth.
