Mineral oil pesticide is a common insecticide, fungicide and synergist in daily life. it will be used when killing insects or sterilization of crops, but because of its powerful function, we should pay attention to it when using it. If we are not careful, it will cause drug harm. What are the precautions for mineral oil pesticides?

What are the matters needing attention for mineral oil pesticides?

When using mineral oil pesticides, they should not be mixed with chlorothalonil, carbendan, carbaryl, organotin, sulfur and other harmful agents. At the same time, high temperature weather should be sprayed before noon or after evening, and in winter in the afternoon.

What are the mineral oil pesticides?

According to their sources and physical and chemical properties, mineral oil pesticides can be divided into agricultural spray oil grade and engine oil EC grade.

1. Agricultural spray oil

Use non-recycled paraffin-based or hydrogenated (reduced aromatics content) oils as base oils that meet FDA21CFR178.3620 standards (U.S. Food and Drug Administration standards for machinery that can be used to lubricate food or drugs or mineral white oils that can be used in direct contact with food).

The mass fraction of non-sulfonate is not less than 92%, the color is transparent, and the color is less than 0.5. The mass fraction of alkanes (paraffin-based) is not less than 65%, and the carbon number distribution of the product is between C21~C24. The viscosity is 55 ~ 75s, the density is 0.85s, the pour point is-7 ℃, and the emulsifying property is good.

Spray oil has the characteristics of low toxicity, environmental friendliness and low residue. It can be used as insecticides (mites), fungicides and auxiliaries, and can be used in crop growth and dormancy periods.

2. Engine oil EC

Use non-recycled raw base oils and should meet FDA21CFR178.360 standards.

The carbon number distribution of the product is between C17~C30 and the color is less than 5.5.

As the oil EC may contain substances such as crop drug damage and agricultural product residues, it is only used as an insecticidal (mite) agent to clear the garden during winter dormancy.
