2. To choose the appropriate position of retaining melon node, generally choose between 7-12 nodes.

Because if the node position of the sitting melon is too high (15mur16 nodes), the fruit will have more lower leaves and fewer upper leaves, which is beneficial to the vertical growth of the fruit in the early stage of fruit development, but the lateral growth in the later stage is inhibited by lack of nutrition, so melons should be left in the middle of the stem vines, and the suitable position of retaining melons is at 7mur12 nodes.

If the node position of sitting melon is low (5mur6 nodes), the lower leaves of the plant will be few, and the nutrient supply in the early stage of fruit development will be insufficient, which will inhibit the vertical growth of fruit, and the rapid expansion of fruit in the later stage of development will lead to small and flat fruit.

3. Temperature, fertilizer and water management should be carried out after pollination to avoid split melon with sheep horn honey.

When the sheep horn honey grows to the size of an egg, that is, 10 days after pollination, the daytime temperature can be controlled at 25-30 ℃ and the night temperature is about 15 ℃; four or five days later, the melon enters a rapid expansion period, and the daytime temperature can be raised to 30-33 ℃ to promote melon expansion.

Yangjiao honey melon in the "dangerous period", do not carry out watering and flushing fertilizer, so as not to aggravate the cracked melon situation.
