Yang He, also known as Yang He, Ming He, is a kind of food with high nutritional value. It is widely distributed in the south of Qinling Mountains and is widely used as medicine at present. How to plant Yang He?

1. Land selection and preparation

Choose a deep soil layer, good drainage and convenient transportation of yellow soil or red loam, deep tillage and apply sufficient base fertilizer. Of course, mountainous areas can also be used. If the slope of mountainous areas is less than 15 degrees, comprehensive land preparation shall be adopted, belt land preparation shall be adopted for slopes greater than 15 degrees and less than 30 degrees, and block land preparation shall be adopted for slopes greater than 30 degrees.

2. Selection of seedlings

It is advisable to select healthy and plump seedlings with a base diameter of more than 1 cm and an age of 1 to 2 years.

3. Sowing

(1)Sowing time: rain to clear period.

(2)Sowing method: the seedlings are sown into a cave about 30cm deep according to the row spacing of 3* 2.5m or 2.5* 2.5m, and finally topsoil is backfilled, layered and firm, so that the rhizome roots are stretched, the bottom is tight and the top is loose, and the soil covering depth is slightly deeper than that of the original buried part of the mother bamboo by 3~ 5cm.

(2)Sowing density: generally 80~100 plants per mu.

4. Post-planting management techniques

(1)Loosening and weeding: Loosening and weeding 3 times a year, shallow loosening in February, deep loosening in June.

(2)Reasonable fertilization: 3~6 months after planting, fertilization can be carried out once. Generally, 1000kg farm organic manure can be applied per mu in June for the first time, 10kg compound fertilizer for bamboo shoots can be applied per mu in September, and combined with loosening soil; 10kg compound fertilizer for bamboo shoots can be applied per mu in February for the second year, 1000kg farm organic manure can be applied per mu in June, and 20kg compound fertilizer for bamboo shoots can be applied per mu in September; fertilization can be carried out according to the standard of forest formation in the third year.

(3)Keep good mother bamboo: The unearthed time of bitter bamboo shoots can be divided into early stage, peak stage and late stage. The bamboo shoots unearthed at the early stage and late stage should be dug out for consumption; the bamboo shoots unearthed at the peak stage should be selected to keep mother bamboo, and 400 healthy bamboo shoots per mu should be reserved every year. Bamboo shoots are harvested, and bamboo shoots are dug at the position where the bamboo shoot tip is 5 - 7 cm away from the ground. Special bamboo shoot harvesting tools are selected to dig bamboo shoots without damaging bamboo whips and bamboo shoots.

5. Timely harvest

About 1200 mother bamboos are evenly preserved in each mu of Pleioblastus amarus forest. The mother bamboos are kept for 3 years, and all those over 4 years old are cut down. Every year after "cold dew" cut down more than 4 years old bamboo.
