Hawaiian bamboo generally refers to Hawaiian coconut, also known as bamboo stem exquisite coconut, bamboo palm, bamboo coconut, Chevrolet coconut, is a foliage plant native to Central America. Then how to raise it?

How to raise Hawaiian bamboo?

1. Light

Hawaiian bamboo is afraid of direct sunlight, so it is OK to accept scattered light sources every day. It is more shady, seedling cultivation or growth period, especially in summer and autumn, the general shade is 60%, but winter and spring should be given brighter scattered light.

two。 Temperature

The suitable temperature for growth was 20-30 ℃, 13 ℃ entered dormancy, and no less than 10 ℃ in winter.

3. Watering

Watering 2-3 times a day in summer, when the air is dry in summer and autumn, often spray water to the plant to improve the air humidity of the environment, which is beneficial to its growth, while keeping the leaf surface dark green and shiny. Properly reduce the amount of water in winter to facilitate overwintering. In addition, watering during the growing period would rather be dry than wet, and the basin soil could be kept moist. Too much watering could easily cause the rot of the lower leaves of the plant, lead to the spread of black spot, and cause the leaves to wither and yellow and even die.

4. Fertilizer application

Hawaiian bamboo does not have high requirements for fertilizer. In general, liquid fertilizer is applied 1-2 times a month in the growing season, combined with foliar fertilizer, which can make the leaves more green and glossy. Little or no fertilization in late autumn and winter.

Hawaiian bamboo leaves are dark green, luxuriant branches and leaves, and have the effect of removing volatile organic substances such as benzene, trichloroethylene, formaldehyde and so on. It is very suitable for display in newly renovated houses.
