Smoker is a common name for perennial evergreen herb green Jasper, which gets this name because it can absorb secondhand smoke. What is its method of reproduction? How should I raise it?

What is the breeding method of smokers?

Smokers generally use cuttings and ramets to propagate. Among them, cutting can be divided into branch cutting and leaf cutting, which should be carried out from May to June in early summer.

How should smokers be raised?

1. Temperature

The change of temperature directly affects the color of leaves, the optimum growth temperature is 18 ℃ ~ 30 ℃, avoid cold frost, the overwintering temperature needs to be kept above 10 ℃, when the winter temperature drops below 4 ℃, it will go into dormancy. If the ambient temperature is close to 0 ℃, it will die of frostbite.

two。 Light

Smokers are afraid of bright light, so they need to keep it in half-shade or give it 70% shade. For indoor maintenance, put it in a brightly lit place as far as possible, and move to outdoor semi-shade or shade for 1 month every 1-2 months to accumulate nutrients and restore growth.

3. Watering

Spring, summer and autumn are the peak season for the growth of smokers, watering every 1-4 days for outdoor maintenance, shorter intervals during sunny days or high temperatures, longer intervals or no watering during rainy days or low temperatures, and watering for 2-6 days during indoor maintenance. Watering time should be arranged as early as possible when the temperature is low in the morning. Summer is watered in the morning or evening when the temperature is low, and plants are often sprayed.

4. Fertilizer application

Smokers have more requirements for fertilizer and water, but they are most afraid of random fertilization, concentrated fertilizer and partial application of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilizer. They are required to follow the principle of "frequent application of light fertilizer, less and more times, and complete nutrition". Winter is the dormant period for smokers, so water and fertilizer can be stopped properly.

There are few diseases in smokers, but spot disease, stem rot and shell insects often occur in the basin when the water is stagnant or the soil is too wet, so prevention should be done in time.
