How to maintain it?

When will potted tomatoes be sown?

Potted tomato seeds are generally sown in spring, autumn and winter, spring is generally in February-May, autumn is generally in July-September, winter is generally around November.

How to maintain potted tomatoes?

1. Raising seedlings

First of all, the cultivated nutrient soil is selected and put into the flowerpot, and the soil cultivation formula can be mixed with vegetable garden soil, peat soil and humus soil plus a small amount of coarse sand. Before sowing, sprout the seed first and then take it out and sow it. The row spacing of sowing is about 15-20 cm to sow a seed. After sowing, water thoroughly and cover the flowerpot with a layer of hay.

2. Water and fertilizer

Water the tomatoes once before planting, thoroughly, and once every 3-6 days. Keep the soil moist after the result. Irrigate fertilizer and water once 10 days after potting, and apply rotten organic fertilizer before flowering.

3. Cross and pinpoint

Buds (branches) that appear from the base of leaves and stems, and side branches that extend one by one from the main branches are all objects that need to be "crossed". Removal of lateral buds will make the fruit grow, coupled with good sunlight and ventilation, but also effectively prevent the occurrence of diseases and pests.

The crosses of tomatoes should not be knocked indiscriminately. Generally, the first side fork under the first ear flower should be knocked off as soon as possible, while the other side forks below the first side fork can be hit late, because they can play the role of root maintenance and root protection. we can knock off these side forks when the plant reaches 10-15 cm. On the other hand, the first spike above the flower should be knocked out as soon as possible.
