Adzuki bean is what we call adzuki bean, which has a large planting area in our country. It has the effect of diuresis, dehumidification and yellowing. When will adzuki bean ripen?

When will adzuki bean ripen

Adzuki bean mainly matured from August to September and began to be harvested in mid-September.

Adzuki bean has the habit of different ripening of upper and lower pods. When harvesting adzuki bean, we should pay attention to manual harvest by stages and appropriately prolong the harvest time in order to promote post-ripening and increase grain weight. When the middle and lower stems of adzuki bean turn yellow, the lower leaves fall off, the middle leaves turn yellow, and about 80% of the pods turn yellow and mature, it is the suitable harvest time. Mechanical harvest can be done when the beans are colored, the pods turn yellow and all the leaves fall off.

Second, the cultivation of adzuki bean

1. Adzuki bean is not strict on soil, and can be planted in all kinds of soil, especially in sandy soil, adzuki bean can mature earlier. Adzuki bean is not suitable for continuous cropping, because continuous cropping can aggravate diseases and insect pests, overgrow weeds, underdevelop root system, reduce root nodule and reduce yield and quality. Therefore, it is generally necessary to replant adzuki bean plots at an interval of 3 to 4 years.

2. There are two ways to grow adzuki bean. One is intercropping, the other is clear seed. Adzuki bean is suitable for interplanting or interplanting with corn, sorghum, millet and other crops, which can make full use of soil fertility to increase yield. Clear seed, at present, there is less planting in a large area, generally using sporadic plots. Clear seed such as field management to keep up, increase investment, the yield per mu can reach about 150 kg.

3. The growth period of adzuki bean is short, and the yield increase by fertilization is very significant. Therefore, it is necessary to re-apply base fertilizer at one time during soil preparation, generally applying 750-1000 kg of high-quality farm manure and 15-20 kg of diammonium or three materials per mu. If the soil fertility is poor, a small amount of available nitrogen can be applied at the seedling stage, which can significantly increase the yield. According to the field test, 15 kg urea per mu was applied, and the result was that topdressing increased by 25.1% compared with that without topdressing, and the effect of increasing the yield of phosphate fertilizer was more significant. Therefore, the cultivation of adzuki bean should emphasize the right amount of topdressing, completely change the old habit of no fertilization of adzuki bean, and promote more high yield of adzuki bean.

4. under the premise of plant selection and pod selection in the field, the broken grains, diseased grains and impurities in the seeds should be removed before sowing, and the seeds with full, neat and good color should be selected for germination test. those with a germination rate of more than 90% can be used as seeds.

5. Timely sowing is an important measure to increase the yield of adzuki bean. The seeds can be sown when the soil temperature at a depth of 5 cm stably passes through 10-12 ℃. The suitable sowing time in Jilin Province is in the middle and late May. Never be too early or too late. Sowing too early is easy to cause blight; if it is too late, the temperature at the seedling stage will be low, which will affect the pod setting.

Adzuki bean has high nutritional value, which helps human intestines and stomach peristalsis, diuresis and detumescence. It can be used to cook porridge or soup with fish.
