When will purslane be sown?

Purslane generally sows more seeds in spring. However, due to different climatic conditions, the sowing time is also slightly different. For example, seeds are generally sown in late February in subtropical areas such as Guangdong, Hainan and Guangxi, and in Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces. Seeds are usually sown in the first and middle of June in North China.

Second, how to sow purslane?

1. Seed selection

Purslane seeds are very small, so try to choose full and glossy seeds. When harvesting, collect the recent seeds as far as possible, and then put them in a ventilated and dry place to dry, and the germination rate can be improved in the later stage.

2. Deal with the seeds

Soak the purslane seeds in warm water for 24 hours to soften, then remove them to dry and sow them. When soaking, discard the seeds floating on the water.

3. Soil selection

Purslane does not have high requirements for soil, and almost any soil can be planted, so when planting, you can go to the field and dig some soil back. After selecting the soil, if you sow in the field, you should turn the soil deeply, apply an appropriate amount of base fertilizer, and finally flatten it.

4. Sowing seeds

Sow the treated seeds evenly in the fields, and then cover them with fine soil around 2cm. If there is any livestock manure, just sprinkle a layer on the surface. It sprouted after a week.

5. Management technology after sowing.

(1) moisture: after purslane germination, pay attention to watering, generally keep the soil moist.

(2) weeding: after Portulaca oleracea germinates, all kinds of weeds will grow around it, so it should be pulled out manually in time.
