Egg fruit, also known as passion fruit, can be eaten directly or made into fragrant and delicious drinks. Egg fruit has the laudatory name of "king of juice". Many people will grow eggs. So how do you grow eggs?

I. temperature

The most suitable growth temperature of egg fruit is 20 ℃ ~ 30 ℃. Generally, it grows well at the temperature of no less than 0 ℃, and the plant will be seriously damaged or even die when it reaches-2 ℃. The area with annual average temperature above 18 ℃ is the most suitable for planting and easy to get high yield. Therefore, it is widely distributed in the warm and humid areas of southern China, especially in Hainan.

2. Moisture

The egg fruit grows best when the annual rainfall is between 1500 and 2000 mm and is evenly distributed, while the commercial development planting area should not be less than 1 000 mm. Eggs are more resistant to drought, but in case of drought, they still need irrigation. If the soil is too dry, it will affect the development of vines and fruits, and in serious cases, the branches will wither, the fruits will not develop and the fruit will drop. Pay attention to drainage during the rainy season.

Third, lighting

As a tropical fruit, egg fruit likes plenty of sunlight to promote vine growth and nutrient accumulation. The condition of long-day sunshine is beneficial to the flowering of egg fruit. In the area with annual sunshine hours of 2300-2800 hours, egg fruit has good vegetative growth, more nutrient accumulation, fast branch growth, early fruiting and high yield. The most suitable growth temperature is 20 ℃ ~ 30 ℃. Generally, the plant grows well at the temperature of no less than 0 ℃. When it reaches-2 ℃, the plant will be seriously damaged or even die.

IV. Soil

The egg fruit has strong adaptability and does not have high requirements for soil. However, the soil layer produced in a large area is at least 0.5 meters, and the soil is fertile, loose and well drained, and the soil pH value is 5.5-6.5.

Egg fruit is widely cultivated in Guangdong, Hainan, Fujian, Yunnan, Taiwan and other regions, suitable for planting in tropical and subtropical areas.
