Green tea is a common kind of tea in China, many people like to make water to drink, at present, most areas have been planted, what are the cultivation techniques of green tea?

1. Land selection and preparation

Green tea is suitable to grow in the environment of deep soil layer, soil ph value between 4-6.5, convenient transportation, no pollution, sufficient water nearby, slope not more than 30 degrees, so when selecting soil, try to build a garden near the mountain area with sufficient water. After selecting the land, dig the soil deeply and apply enough base fertilizer. Then dig a ditch with a depth of about 35cm and a width of about 30cm for later drainage.

2. Seed selection

To select suitable varieties according to local climatic conditions, it is best to choose seedlings with strong drought tolerance, strong disease resistance, strong bud head, dense germination and small bud leaves. If you choose tea seeds, it is best to choose varieties that are healthy and full, drought-tolerant and disease-resistant.

3. Sowing seeds

(1) sowing time: the southern region generally sows from the end of November to March of the following year, while the northern region generally sows in the middle and late March, and generally does not delay sowing until after the middle of April.

(2) treat the seeds: soak the tea seeds in water for a few hours, then remove them and store them in moist sand for about 20 days. When half of the tea seeds are exposed to the radicle, they can be sown.

(3) sowing: germinate seeds according to the plant distance of 25-35cm, about 3-5 seeds per hole, sowing depth 3-5 cm, and finally cover the soil.

4. Transplanting

In the areas where green tea is mainly cultivated with small and medium-sized leaves, there are mainly two kinds of green tea: single-strip cultivation and double-strip cultivation.

The main results are as follows: (1) single strip planting: generally according to row spacing 1.3m, cluster spacing 25-33cm, 2-3 plants per clump, 2500-4000 seedlings per mu. In tea areas with lower temperature or higher altitude, the row spacing can be appropriately reduced to 1.2-1.3 meters, and the cluster spacing can be reduced to about 20 cm.

(2) double-strip planting: the planting method developed on the basis of single-strip planting, every 2 were planted adjacent to each other with a small row spacing of 30 cm, with a large row spacing of 1.5 m and a cluster spacing of 25-33 cm, with 2-3 plants per clump and 4000-6000 seedlings per mu. Compared with single-strip planting, double-strip planting has the advantages of gardening and putting into production faster, but it also maintains the convenience of production management in the future, and has gradually become the main way of planting in small and medium-sized species areas in the north.

5. Management techniques after transplanting.

(1) moisture requirements: if there is a continuous sunny day after transplanting, it is generally watered every 3-5 days, each time watering thoroughly, so that the root soil is all moist.

(2) Seedling replacement: after transplanting, check the situation in the garden at any time. If you find dead seedlings, dense seedlings, etc., you should replenish seedlings or seedlings in time.

(3) Prevention and control of diseases and insect pests: green tea seedlings after transplanting, the resistance is very weak, there will be a variety of diseases and insect pests, so it is necessary to do a good job of prevention and control in advance.
