Mango is a very common fruit in daily life. Many people like to eat it, and they always buy it well in the market, so more and more people plant it. Some fruit growers will find that their mango trees only blossom but do not hang fruit. How is that? What are the prevention and treatment methods?

Why mango trees only blossom and not hang fruit

Mango flowering is affected by both man-made and natural factors. Such as partial application of nitrogen fertilizer, will lead to the increase of plant endogenous hormones, make vegetative growth in an active state, affect flower formation; high temperature and multi-temperature climate in winter is conducive to root activity, absorb a large amount of nutrients and water, and supply aboveground part of vegetative growth. To create favorable conditions for winter shoot emergence, mango tree winter shoot extraction will affect flower formation. In order to make mango trees blossom and bear fruit normally, measures such as plant growth regulator regulation, nutrient regulation and pruning, improving water and fertilizer management, ring cutting and promoting flower can be used to promote mango blossom normally. The mango blossoms normally, but flowers but not fruit, generally is the overgrowth of the tree, vegetative growth is dominant, reproductive growth is at a disadvantage, and finally can not bear fruit.

Control methods of only flowering but not hanging fruit in mango trees

1. Physical control

It is necessary to reasonably control the density between fruit trees, do a good job of pruning and shaping, cut off the diseased and insect branches, dry and rotten branches, old flower stalks and dense shade branches on the crown, keep the orchard ventilated, ventilated and transparent, and prevent weeds from overgrowing. Do a good job of drainage protection in the low-lying parts of the park. After the mango tree is pruned every year, the trees are cleaned and washed more than twice with stone sulfur mixture and Bordeaux liquid, and the residual branches, fallen leaves and diseased fruits are all cleared out of the orchard and burned in different places.

2. Drug prevention and treatment

(1) anthrax

It mainly harms the young leaves, flowers and fruits of mango trees. After the infection of tender leaves, there are many round brown dots with yellow halo around them, and gradually expand into round, polygonal or irregular brown spots. It has a good control effect to use 80% Dasheng 500 × 700 times solution, bromofenonil 1000 times solution, 25% mancozeb 400 times solution, or 45% ultrafine glue 250 times total sulfur 500 times solution.

(2) powdery mildew

It mainly harms inflorescence, young fruit and tender leaves. Spray with 50% carbendazim 500 times 600 times or stone sulfur mixture 600 times or fungicides 0.3% 0.4 Baume, 20% trimethoprim 1500 times, 40% methomyl suspension 400 times 600 times, etc., spray every 10 to 12 days.

(3) thrips

3000 times of imidacloprid wettable powder and 2000 times of 2.5% cyhalothrin are available. The specific use of drugs should be reasonably matched according to the actual situation.
