Celery is a common vegetable on the table, and many people like to eat fresh and delicious celery. So how do you grow celery seeds? Let's take a look at it together.

I. cultivation season

When celery is cultivated in open field in North China, the climate suitable for celery growth in autumn is the longest, so the yield, quality and cultivation area are also the largest. Celery can also be cultivated in a variety of protected areas to achieve annual supply. Generally, the seedlings were cultivated in the greenhouse from January to February, planted from late March to mid-April, harvested from late May to July, cultivated in autumn, sown and raised seedlings from mid-June to early July, spring planting from the first and middle of August to mid-September, and harvest from October to December. Generally, the seedlings were sown and raised in the protected field from the first ten days of July and the middle of July to the first ten days of August, and then planted in the improved sunny bed or solar greenhouse from September to November and harvested from January to March.

II. Sowing and management

It is difficult for celery to emerge, so we should choose sandy loam soil with high topography, convenient drainage and irrigation, loose soil and fertile sandy soil as seedling bed. It is necessary to apply enough rotten base fertilizer and more ring fertilizer in order to make the soil loose. In order to achieve rapid, complete and uniform seedling emergence, seed soaking can be carried out 7-8 days before sowing. Sow the seeds in the middle and last ten days of June, soak the seeds in cold water 12: 14 ℃ for 24 hours, wash the seeds, let the air cool place to dry for a while, wait for the seed surface to dry, wrap it in a wet towel, put it in the cool place (15: 20 ℃) to see light to promote germination, and wash it with cold water once a day. The seeds can be sowed after the seeds are sprouted, and the wet sowing method is mostly used, that is, the bottom water is poured first, and then mixed with sand. A shade is built on the seedling bed to cool down, protect against the sun and prevent heavy rain.

After sowing, the soil cover should be thin and uniform, and the seedling beds should be kept moist. Generally, a small amount of water can be poured every one or two days in the morning or evening until the seedlings come out. Sowing seeds in spring and autumn can not be covered with a shade. Boil small water frequently to facilitate seedling emergence. In order to reduce the harm of weeds, 25% wettable herbicide ether 0.75~1Kg/ mu can be used before emergence after sowing, water 80~100Kg is added and sprayed evenly on the border surface. The time of seedling is 2 leaves and the seedling distance is 1cm. The seedlings are divided into three or four times, and the distance between the seedlings is square from 8~10cm. After the seedlings are alive, intertillage should be carried out to promote the differentiation of roots and leaves of the seedlings. Urea 10Kg/ mu can be applied and all mulch can be removed to facilitate seedling exercise. When the seedling grows to 5-7 pieces and the seedling height is 15~18cm, it can be planted. Pay attention to the prevention and control of aphids, spot blight and so on.

The cultivation and management of celery is relatively simple, but it requires careful care to produce more.
