1. seed selection

Select varieties with resistance to tobacco mosaic virus, leaf mold, bacterial wilt and other diseases, thick pericarp, storage resistance, bearing a certain high liquid temperature (27~29℃) bright color, uniform fruit diameter on the same ear. Such as French Red Prince 1801, 1802, Japanese Wei Wei, Rainbow 101 and so on.

2. sowing and seedling

Although tomato trees are sown all year round, it is best to sow them in spring and autumn. Among them, spring sowing and seedling raising shall be carried out at the end of November and early December; autumn sowing and seedling raising shall be carried out from the end of June to the beginning of July. First, the seeds are germinated, and then the germinated seeds are sown in a seedling pot or hole tray with pure vermiculite substrate, covered with about 1cm vermiculite, and covered with a layer of plastic film to maintain humidity. Remove plastic film after emergence, and then carry out maintenance.

3. colonization

When the plant height reaches 30~120 cm, it is suitable for planting (when there are 5~6 true leaves, it can be planted). Early planting is advisable when the cultivation tank is well prepared. When planting, plant one plant in the center of the cultivation tank, and try to minimize root damage. The depth of the seedling block surface is 5 cm lower than the surface of the cultivation tank. After planting, immediately irrigate nutrient solution, and the planting density shall be determined according to the field conditions.

4. field management

Pruning can be done by multi-trunk pruning method, selecting healthy branches, removing over-dense, aging leaves, yellowing or diseased branches; and when the plant is horizontally spread to 3~4 meters on the cultivation frame and the number of growth points is more than 200, flowers and fruits begin to remain. Fertilization is carried out once every 7-10 days foliar fertilizer. Where conditions permit, carbon dioxide can also be added. Finally, there should be targeted control of leaf mold, bacterial wilt, whitefly, mites and other pests.
