In our country, deer breeding is still relatively small, because the cost of raising deer is relatively high, and the procedures are also more troublesome, but the return profit of deer is relatively high, not only the price of venison is more expensive, but antlers are also a good thing of great medicinal value. A lot of people buy it to eat.

What procedures are needed to run a deer farm?

It is necessary to apply for the Wildlife training and breeding license from the local county forestry bureau and then submit it to the municipal forestry bureau for examination and approval. It is good to pass these two hurdles, but you need a lot of documents, such as land contract certificate, industrial and commercial certificate, as well as deer feed source land area and allocation of relevant facilities to prevent deer from escaping.

Reasonable formula of deer feed

When feeding deer, corn, soybean meal, cottonseed meal, peanut cake, wheat bran and so on are mainly used, in which corn is palatable, digestibility reaches 85%, and contains carotene. However, corn has low contents of protein, minerals and vitamins, and lacks lysine and tryptophan. Therefore, attention should be paid to the supplement of high quality protein, minerals and vitamin feed when using corn.

Soybean meal contains about 45.8% crude protein, 5%-6% crude fiber and 0.6% phosphorus. Because the crude fat content of soybean meal is low and its palatability is poor, it should be stored for a period of time and then fed after moisture volatilization and ripening.

Cottonseed meal has high nutritional value and low price. However, because the cottonseed meal contains gossypol, it should not be fed only with cottonseed cake when feeding sika deer, but should be fed with other feed. In addition, cottonseed meal must be detoxified. Detoxification method: 1.5% baking soda and 1.5% ferrous sulfate were dissolved in water, then the cottonseed meal was immersed in water, and the cottonseed meal was soaked for 2 hours to 3 hours before feeding.

Peanut cake contains 46.4% crude protein, 1.75% methionine and high cystine, but care should be taken to avoid producing aflatoxin; wheat bran contains about 14% crude protein, 110 grams of digestible protein per kilogram; contains about 4% crude fat, 9% crude fiber 10%, 0.8% phosphorus 1.1%, but low calcium content, therefore, for young deer, female deer in late pregnancy and raw antler male deer, feeding should not be too much.

Matters needing attention in raising deer

The main results are as follows: 1. it is mainly green roughage, supplemented by concentrate feed, and the compound feed is mainly composed of local green succulent fodder and roughage.

2. Try to make use of all kinds of feed resources with low price, large quantity, wide source and stable supply.

3. Regular and quantitative feeding: the amount of each feeding should be appropriate. If the amount of feeding is insufficient, the deer will be hungry soon after feeding. It will not only be unable to rest quietly, but also affect the digestive function of the deer. If you feed too much each time, it will not only cause a waste of feed, but also affect your appetite during the next feeding. Keep it even day by day, not too much or less.

4. Vitamin B12 containing cobalt can be synthesized in the digestive tract of ruminants. Therefore, there is no need to add vitamin B12 to deer feed.

The situation of raising deer

Although the deer industry has not fully emerged from the shadow of the late 1990s, the development trend is very gratifying, mainly as follows:

1. Provinces, cities and counties in North, South and Central China buy a large number of deer from the northeast every year. According to the statistics of the Forestry Department of Jilin Province, the number of breeding deer officially out of the province in 1998 and 1999 was no less than 50,000-60,000.

2. Supply and marketing channels are being formed. Now there are deer product dealers almost everywhere in the country. Only the deer products sold in Xifeng, Liaoning and Shuangyang, Jilin account for almost 3% of the deer products in China. It is not difficult to purchase and sell deer products.

3. The team of raising deer is growing, and the popularization of technology is deepening. Over the past few decades, only scientific research institutions, colleges and universities, and dozens of state-owned deer farms in Northeast China have trained a large number of deer-raising technical personnel through various forms, and they have become the backbone of the deer industry. Over the past 30 years, a large number of deer-raising books and academic papers have been published in various ways, and more than 100 scientific research achievements have been awarded by governments at all levels.

With the continuous development of aquaculture in our country, all kinds of aquaculture are on the rise, and according to the current national conditions of our country, the state has certain supporting policies for aquaculture, although there are risks in aquaculture, but it is a project with both risks and profits.
