The land can be sunk with stone, and the edges and corners can be removed as far as possible to avoid scratching the turtle's armor. If your glass pool is not big enough to make too many things, don't be "land". Add water directly to the tank. The water level should not drown your tortoise. Just add it to more than half of its shell, so that it can raise its head and breathe. If the water increases, the turtle will drown.

Water: it is best to precipitate the tap water for a few days and then use it again. It is not supported to use tap water directly.

The temperature should be controlled above 20 degrees, and the temperature difference should not be too large when changing the water.

It's best to feed fresh fish and freshwater shrimp (the latter will brighten your turtle color), or if you don't have fresh beef, pork and mutton, but be careful that a single food will be malnourished. The sun should often ask them to bask in the sun, otherwise it is easy to cause diseases such as calcium deficiency.

The ideal water temperature should be kept at 25 degrees C. If the water temperature reaches 30 degrees, they will be very lively. If you find them in poor physical condition, you can use a 100 candlelight light bulb to make the water temperature a little higher, but not more than 35 degrees. Water should be changed once a week.

Turtles like to bask in the sun, because turtles are also cold-blooded, and their body temperature rises and falls with the temperature, so they adjust their body temperature by sunlight. If the body temperature is too high, they dive into the water. In addition, basking in the sun can also make the tortoise produce vitamins, which helps the hardness and health of the tortoise shell. Sunbathing is suitable for 30 minutes to 1 hour.

Tortoise shells become soft or red and swollen around their eyes, indicating that they are sick. It is usually caused by malnutrition, so feed them a little of the vitamin drops or medications that babies take every day, or use human eye drops to put on their eyes.

In the near winter, turtles do not eat. At this time, a place for them to survive the winter should be prepared. Put about 30 centimeters of water in the sink, followed by soil and a large number of fallen leaves. But if the water temperature is often kept around 25 degrees, turtles do not have to hibernate and must give them food on time.

Breeding bait for turtles

In ponds or rivers, turtles feed on shrimp, crabs, insects, aquatic plants, etc. Because of the north, you can give them a little lean meat, small goldfish, Loach, bread worms, earthworms and freshwater fish meat, liver, do not feed cooked food, fat meat.
