Partridge metabolism exuberant, normal temperature up to 41℃~42℃, because partridge has no sweat glands, plus thick body feathers, all rely on breathing to dissipate heat, heat dissipation capacity is poor, summer high temperature environment is even unfavorable to partridge, if not pay attention to heatstroke cooling, will affect partridge growth rate and egg production, serious can also cause heatstroke or even death. Here are some practical ways to prevent sunstroke:

Add reserpine and other sedative drugs to partridge diet to reduce basal metabolic heat and improve heat tolerance.

The walls outside the poultry house were whitewashed with lime water to reduce radiant heat. The inner walls of the poultry house are pasted with blue or green plastic sheets, the glass windows are coated with blue or green pigments, and blue or green lighting is used at night to reduce body heat generation.

Reasonable feed preparation, while reducing feed volume, we should reduce the crude fiber content in the diet and appropriately increase the protein content. In order to improve the palatability of feed, more green feed, onion and garlic can be mixed in the diet.

Reasonable arrangement of feeding time. Feeding should be carried out in the morning and cooler evening, and finally fed again at night, and strive to let partridge eat more.

Plant turf and deciduous trees around the poultry house, or build a pergola 3 to 4 meters high to shade the summer.

The implementation of the workshop to help cage, reduce the activity space, partridge will be used for foraging, sports and fighting activities to a minimum.

When the partridge is caged, it can be directly sprayed with a sprayer to cool down, and increase the number of water supply and supply clean cold water; when it is free-range, it should be set up in a place with shade to cool down the partridge bath, and sufficient drinking water equipment should be set up in the poultry house and sports ground.

Factory breeding, poultry house windows and doors should be opened for ventilation at night, and poultry should be allowed to sleep outside the poultry house for heat dissipation.
