Liao Shujun was originally a laid-off female worker. In February 2012, she and her partners came across a get-rich TV show about a company in Jiangsu Province that raised turkeys to get rich. After some discussion and online search, she and her partners decided to try to raise turkeys with good meat, low fat, low cholesterol and high protein.

"I called the boss twice first, but I didn't answer. In late April 2012, Liao Shujun and his partner drove all the way to Xuyi, Jiangsu Province, where they bought a group of breeder chickens (1 male and 4 female) for 1600 yuan and brought them back to Sichuan for trial. Frequent jokes finally pass the hatching.

After May 1, 2012, Liao Shujun put the turkeys at his cousin's home in Fuquan Town, Yantan District, Zigong City. Her original idea was self-breeding and snowball development.

But during the incubation process, she made a joke again. "after waiting for a month and a half, I collected more than 50 eggs before I went to Fushun to find someone to hatch." Liao Shujun said sheepishly, "as a result, only 18 eggs can be hatched, and all the other eggs have expired." The technician said that fertilized eggs must be hatched in 10 to 15 days. "

To Fushun hatch a chicken, survive only to give 1 yuan incubation fee, but the cost of driving back and forth is not small, but also troublesome people. As a result, Liao Shujun spent 200 yuan to buy two "chicken hugs" (old hens that hatch chicks) to hatch their eggs. At first, the "chicken hugging woman" could cope with it, but as the number of eggs laid by the turkey increased day by day, the "chicken hugging woman" could not help.

Liao Shujun spent more than 1400 yuan to buy back a small fully automatic incubator, but unexpectedly encountered a new problem: two batches of 13 turkey eggs were tried and hatched for 25 days, and only one chicken was hatched. She was so anxious to call the manufacturer to find out the reason. "it turned out that I didn't have a good grasp of the temperature and humidity of hatching. The temperature should be controlled at 37.8 degrees and the humidity should be controlled at 65%. The door of the incubator should be opened and cooled every day or two. After finding the crux of the problem, Liao Shujun quickly increased the hatching survival rate of hot eggs to 80% to 85%, which is only one step away from the normal survival rate of 90%.

By the end of May last year, the number of turkeys had grown from five to more than 130. Liao Shujun built a base covering an area of more than 20 acres in Group 11 of Baisheng Village, Zhongquan Town, Ziliujing District, and bought a large automatic incubator.

Liao Shujun circled a mountain forest at the base, feeding turkeys ecologically, corn, millet, rice bran, abandoned vegetable leaves, rape straw and home-grown ryegrass. Turkeys have "lookout" time every day, and workers keep them open for an hour or two to improve their running ability and meat quality. In the evening, the turkey lives in the henhouse again and sleeps in a comfortable fermentation bed.

The cost of egg breeding, hatching, labor, vaccine and feed is about 260 yuan, and the profit is more than 100 yuan. She said that friends have come to buy this Spring Festival one after another.

A hen can lay 1315 eggs per month during the two-year laying period. except for most of them used for hatching, since this month, she has supplied farmers' markets and small supermarkets with seven or eight eggs per catty, which have been sold for 20 yuan. although less than 100 eggs have been sold so far, there are new channels.
