Raising Monopterus Albus is also one of the special aquaculture, and the economic income of raising Monopterus Albus properly is higher than that of raising fish, so in rural aquaculture, the number of households raising Monopterus Albus has been expanding in recent years, but many farmers who raise Monopterus Albus have failed, and there are many reasons for this. But in terms of technical problems, there are mainly the following eight categories.

1. Buy seedlings indiscriminately. The so-called "artificially farmed" seedlings or other so-called "high-quality" seedlings purchased by many farmers are actually collected wild seedlings, and these seedlings are not scientifically operated, such as temporary culture and multi-link storage and transportation, with a mortality rate of 90% to 100%, so when purchasing seedlings, they must be carefully examined and identified. In general, artificially cultured ricefield eel should choose and buy high-quality seedlings locally, which is not only economical, but also guaranteed in quality.

2. No variety is selected. From the appearance, there are deep yellow spots, red spots, light yellow fine spots, green gray fine spots and other types of rice field eel. Only by selecting the first two types can we have a faster growth rate and artificial culture can achieve ideal economic benefits.

3. Mixed culture of large and small. Mixed culture in the same pool, the small eel did not dare to compete for food, but the physique weakened or even died. When the bait is insufficient, the big eel devours the small eel. Therefore, in the mixed culture of large and small eels, although the big eel grows fast, the total yield of the pond is low.

4. The pool is too deep. Because there is no swim bladder in Monopterus Albus, it can not float and stay in different water layers to breathe air. The pool water is too deep, Monopterus Albus needs to swim to the surface frequently to breathe, which consumes a lot of physical energy, affecting the normal life and growth. According to the size of the eel, the water depth of the eel should be 5cm to 20cm, and the aquaculture of eel in the cage should fill the whole cage in order to provide a good habitat and breathing condition for the eel.

5. Manure was applied to the eel pond. The water body of eel pond is small, and the application of manure fertilizer can easily damage the water quality and induce diseases, so the loss of "improving water quality" outweighs the gain.

6. Ignore the cultivation of aquatic plants. Aquatic plants can prevent heat and cool down Monopterus Albus and purify water quality. Eel ponds without aquatic plants can not create a good ecological environment, breeding rice field eel is also difficult to succeed, or difficult to achieve high yield and high efficiency.

7. Feed a vegetarian diet. Some breeders feed Monopterus Albus with vegetarian diets such as wheat bran, vegetable cakes, bean dregs, rice, green vegetables, etc. When they are seriously hungry and short of bait, they will swallow a small amount, but they cannot meet the needs of their life activities in nutrition, let alone grow and gain weight. Over a long period of time, Monopterus Albus gradually lost weight and died. Monopterus Albus is a kind of benthic fierce carnivorous fish, which should be fed with animal feed or full-price compound feed.

8. Frequent refueling. There are often breeders who often change the types of feed because of the lack of food security. Monopterus Albus feed should have a certain stability, suddenly change the type of feed, Monopterus Albus is difficult to adapt and refuse to eat, which will affect the normal production and growth.
