At present, the medicinal ants in China are mainly "quasi-black spiny ants". Artificial breeding of drug ants has the characteristics of fast reproduction, low risk, low investment, high benefit and so on. The main technical points of drug ant culture are introduced as follows:

First, the construction of ant house should choose indoor cement land or mud land, regardless of size. A circular flume is built on the periphery of the breeding pond, which is about 50 cm wide and 10 cm deep. Water is injected into the pool to prevent ants from escaping. The island to build a simple wooden frame, can be layered, each floor of about 25 to 30 centimeters, up and down, each square meter can support 5 to 10 nests.

Second, ant nest breeding introduction ant nest should have a queen and an ant queen, so that it can reproduce. The growth and reproduction of drug ants are closely related to the control of temperature and humidity. Under reasonable control, a litter can reproduce about 150 to 250 nests a year. The conventional temperature is 10 ℃ to 38 ℃, the optimum breeding temperature is 25 ℃ to 30 ℃, and the environmental humidity is kept at 80% to 90%. Raise soil humidity about 20%, spray water several times a day. Cover plastic sheeting outside the shed or heat it up with light bulbs and coal stoves in winter. Each queen lays about 30 to 50 eggs a day, and the survival rate is more than 80%. It usually divides into a nest every 20 days to two months, and a large number of ants come out to eat before dividing the nest. At this time, some leaves, grass, sawdust and a spoonful of sugar are added to the fast food box to make the ants divide their own colonies.

Third, ant bait feeding ants are omnivorous insects, artificial breeding must be fed with sufficient and delicious bait. Can be fed with cornmeal, non-alkaline food, leftovers, rice bran, watermelon peel, rotten pears, etc., as well as some insects with high protein content, such as flies, insect carcasses and so on.

IV. Daily management

1. Environmental hygiene. The bait that ants eat should be sanitary, the water they drink should be sanitary, and the ant room should be cleaned frequently.

2. Light. Keep 15 hours of light every day and night, avoid direct sunlight in summer, and use a 15-watt light bulb at night.

3. Ventilation. Always keep the ant room well-ventilated and have fresh air.

4. Guard against shock. Ant colonies should not be turned over at will, so as not to affect reproduction.

5. Pollution prevention. To prevent the pollution of pesticides, fertilizers, paints, cigarettes and other odors.

Fifth, dried ants are processed to starve ants for 3 to 5 days, then put a plastic bag in its active area, put a little white sugar in the bag, tie the bag tightly when the ants feed in large quantities, put it in the sun for 10 hours, and then dry it into a sack, tie it up, hang it in a cool and dry place, and then it can be sold.
