Last Updated: 2024/11/10, Scorpion as a medicinal animal, has a high economic value, but most scorpion households due to lack of due technology and experience, leading to scorpion failure, economic damage, so remind the majority of scorpion households to pay attention to the following problems. Grasp the habits of scorpions

As a kind of medicinal animal, scorpion has high economic value. however, most scorpion farmers fail and suffer economic damage due to the lack of proper technology and experience, so they are reminded to pay attention to the following problems.

To master the living habits of scorpions the scorpion is a small animal that likes sun and light, tide and dampness, as well as the habit of drilling small cracks and living alone. If the conditions for the growth and development of scorpions are not met, there will be a phenomenon of extremely slow growth and even death. In artificial culture, the natural living environment of scorpions should be simulated as far as possible, according to the scale of scorpions and the number of scorpions, a scorpion pond of suitable size should be built, and a wall with cracks should be built with stones, bricks or tiles in the pond, so that the scorpions have a loose living space. help to improve the survival rate; at the same time, it can also increase the amount of breeding per unit area to achieve the effect of three-dimensional culture. Good selection of scorpion, suitable density of scorpion, is the basis for the development of artificial breeding of scorpion. Male and female scorpions with medium size, strong physique and high reproduction rate should be selected. Because scorpions have the nature of killing each other, the big ones kill the small ones, and the unmolted ones are peeling. In the process of feeding, we should pay attention to the appropriate density, separate cultivation according to size, consistent specifications are conducive to the synchronous growth of scorpions. Raising scorpions at constant temperature is a variable temperature animal, which has the habit of hibernation, and it is most affected by temperature changes in the process of growth and development. In order to improve the reproduction rate of artificial scorpion and make the scorpion grow rapidly, it is necessary to lift the hibernation period and keep the scorpion at a constant temperature. Scorpion has the longest activity time, the highest feed intake and the fastest growth and development at 28 ℃ ~ 30 ℃. Therefore, heating equipment, such as plastic greenhouse or coal stove, should be installed in the scorpion farm in winter to make the indoor temperature in the range of 60% to 80%, but attention should be paid to indoor ventilation. Avoid feed single scorpion is a carnivore, like to eat soft and succulent insects, feed mainly on animal feed, artificial breeding generally use yellow powder insects as feed, but if a single feed is used for a long time, it is bound to cause scorpion malnutrition, so a variety of feed should be prepared, such as adding earthworms, ground turtle insects, wheat bran and so on. Watermelon skin is also a good auxiliary food for scorpions. In short, the more complex the feed, the more conducive to the growth and development of scorpions. Molting period Scientific Management Scorpion after birth after 6 times molting to achieve sexual maturity, if the scorpion can not molt, growth and development will stop, may die at any time. The baby scorpion climbed on the back of the mother scorpion after birth and molted for the first time after 5 days. After 5 days and 7 days, the baby scorpion left the mother's back and molted for the second time in about 40 days. Due to differences in living environment and inconsistent growth and development among individuals, the time of the second molting is different. The skin will be molted every 50 to 60 days. During molting, the daily average temperature should be controlled at 25 ℃ ~ 30 ℃, the soil water content of the scorpion nest should be 15% ~ 20%, the air relative humidity should be about 80%, and the scorpion should enter a semi-dormant state one week before molting. After the scorpion molts, the new scorpion body is soft and shiny, the body size increases obviously, the muscle is fresh and tender, the resistance is weak, and it is easy to be attacked and eroded by natural enemies or other scorpions. After molting, scorpion should pay attention to not only rich nutrition, but also palatability and shell feeding, so as to prevent scorpion from nibbling at each other because of hunger, feeding mainly by Tenebrio Molitor larvae and supplemented by substitutes. The substitute is made of 25% milk, 25% raw protein, 45% flour (fried incense), 3% brown sugar, 2% raw oil, mixed into paste, rubbed into small particles with hands and placed on tender vegetable leaves. A small amount of multivitamins can be added to the substitute to speed up the growth of the baby scorpion. Practice has proved that the time of scorpion molting is closely related to the content of cystine in the body, so it is necessary to add rat meat to pregnant scorpion and baby scorpion. It can also spray an appropriate amount of cystine solution in the feed such as yellow powder insects, which can indirectly increase the content of cystine in scorpion. If cystine and vitamins are evenly sprinkled on fresh watermelon peels or tender leaves, the scorpion can eat more freely. However, we should pay attention to clean up the residual food in time to prevent decay and deterioration.
