1 heat preservation

The cold resistance of Xiang pig is lower than that of local pig breeds, and the heat preservation is not good, which not only affects the normal growth, but also causes losses. The walls of the pigsty should be one-and-a-half bricks or one blank in thickness, tight and crack-free. More firewood and grass are piled around the wall book as insulation. The piggery should use plastic film to buckle the shed, preferably with two layers of plastic film. The shed was covered with grass curtains at night. There should be ventilation holes in the shed, which should be opened twice before and after noon every day. Half an hour at a time is fine. The faeces should be cleaned in time, and the place where you sleep should frequently change hay, dried leaves and dried sawdust. Pigs with diapers must be trained.

The full price of feed means that the feed for pigs should contain all kinds of nutrients needed by the pig body. Due to the large body energy consumption of pigs in winter, it is necessary to ensure adequate food consumption and reasonable feed ratio. The types of feed should be diversified as much as possible so that the various feeds of the ration can complement each other in nutrition. The quality of the feed used is palatable. The ratio of common feed is 56% of corn, 15% of bean cake, 19.5% of wheat bran, 7% of various bran, 1% of bone meal, 1% of fish meal and 0.5% of salt. The proportion of feed changed appropriately in different growth stages of pigs. The principle is that there is more concentrate in the early stage and less in the later stage. When choosing feed, we should adjust measures to local conditions and try our best to choose feed with rich nutrition and low price. For example, bean curd residue is a good feed for pigs, which can greatly feed the input of concentrate. But the bean curd residue should not exceed 1 / 3 of the total feed. Qualified farmers can also add a small amount of fermented fresh chicken manure to pig feed. Xiang pigs have the habit of eating green fodder, so this is a problem that can not be ignored in feeding. In winter, cabbage, radish, carrot and potato can be used instead of green fodder. Don't feed rotten vegetables.

3. Feed cooked food and hot food

The feed of Xiang pig in the place of origin is mainly cooked food. The utilization rate of feed can be improved by cooking feed. In the cold winter, feeding cooked food can enhance the ability of pigs to protect themselves from the cold and speed up their growth. If they are fed cooked food unconditionally, at least warm food should be fed. The feed should be soaked in water in advance, and the hot water should be fed at a fixed time. Big pigs should be fed three times and piglets four times.

Although the incidence of livestock is low in winter, health and epidemic prevention should not be ignored. The piggery should be disinfected on schedule and vaccination will begin at the end of the first month.
