Adult partridges need to be carefully managed in the process of raising, and they are timid and frightened. Once they are frightened, they are uneasy in the cage, so they need to be trained before the adult female lays eggs, so that the actions of the breeders can be accepted. The management of other aspects is basically the same as the management method of the Chinese partridge stage. Edible and medicinal partridges (both male and female) can be sold when each reaches more than 500 grams (0.5 kilograms).

The nutrients in the feed must be comprehensive in order to promote the rapid growth of partridges, increase lean meat and improve quality. The feed of medicinal partridge should be matched reasonably, and the formula feed of adult chicken can also be used. Generally, the feed of medicinal partridges over 12 weeks old needs to contain crude protein 18%, crude fat 3%, crude fiber 4%, tryptophan 0.2%, lysine 1.0%, cystine 0.7%, methionine 0.35%, minerals such as calcium 2.8%, phosphorus 0.7%, salt 0.3%. In addition, vitamins and trace element additives need to be added to every 500 kg of feed by 5% to 10%. If the crude protein is insufficient, fish meal or silkworm pupa powder, blood meal, bone meal, earthworm powder and so on can be added instead. Feed 4-6 times a day, usually 2 times a day in the morning, afternoon and night. Feed can be divided into dry material, wet material and dry-wet three kinds. Most of the dried feed is powdered or fine-grained, and the general water content is about 12%. This feeding method is suitable for large-scale feeding or family feeding, and its advantage is that it saves feeding time and is easy to clean the cage. However, the palatability of the feed is poor, and the feed is easy to splash out of the trough and cause waste. The wet feeding method is made by mixing mixed feed with green feed, water, etc. This method is applicable to small-scale farms or a small number of families raising partridges. Its advantage is that the palatability is good, the feed is not easy to splash out of the trough, so the feeding cost is low, but the feed is easy to rot and deteriorate in hot weather, at the same time, partridges will pull dilute dung after eating wet material, which not only affects the growth of adult partridges, but also takes a lot of work to clean the feeding equipment. There is also a dry and wet feeding method, that is, powdered feed is fed in the morning and evening, and a meal of wet feed is added at noon, which has the advantages of the above two feeding methods and overcomes their shortcomings. At the same time of feeding, adequate drinking water should also be provided. the drinking fountain can be made of small basins made of tin or ceramic basins, or canned bottles can be used as drinking pots. The amount of drinking water can be flexibly controlled according to the temperature and the type of feed.
