As the saying goes, "A good king is worth honey." Although this is an exaggeration, it is enough to illustrate the role of the queen bee in the colony, but the good queen is not easy to get. The following is the editor to sort out some of the king's experience in beekeeping management as follows.

How to cultivate a good queen bee by raising bees

First, it is necessary to choose the king of bee breeding which is suitable for this region. You can introduce species from regular bee farms, or you can choose to transfer insects from this field to breed. It is best to introduce seed kings from other places every two years, so as to avoid species degradation.

Second, if you have a good seed king, you may not be able to breed a good king, but you must also have a good or auxiliary source of honey and powder, which is another major condition for cultivating a good king. If the external honey powder condition is poor, it can not breed the king, and when the honey powder source condition is general, it will be rewarded and fed every evening.

Third, it is not enough to have the above two conditions, we must also make use of the big egg to raise the king, the queen bee bred by the big egg, the primary body is big and well developed. How do you get the big eggs? First of all, the seed king should be imprisoned in a bamboo cage for 10 days. The seed king was released 4 to 5 days before the transfer and began to lay eggs. The size and weight of the eggs laid by the queen within 4 days were relatively large, and then gradually decreased with the increase of the number of eggs laid.

Fourth, choose the strong group to cultivate the king, and the conditions of the strong group are better in all aspects. If there are more than 12 frame-footed bees, the honey and powder in the nest is abundant, and it is best to have kings and breed kings. Limit the original queen bee to the nest box, select 1 or 2 small larval spleen, first put the king frame between the two larval spleen for 4 to 6 hours, remove and move into the 2-day-old larva to promote its acceptance, as long as it can accept a few. Take out the larvae after 24 hours, remove the larvae, brush each royal platform that needs to be moved with the accepted royal jelly, and then move into the suitable larvae within 12 hours. If the queen leaves the room on the 11th day after the worm transfer, the quality will not be too good, and only those who leave the room in the afternoon or at night on the 12th day are the best virgin queens.

Fifth, to organize mating groups, it is better to use 1-2 frame bees, with enough honey and powder. The group potential is a waste of the feeding power of worker bees, which is disadvantageous to the development and production of the whole field. One day before the virgin queen leaves the room, put Wang Taian in the honey place of the mating colony. If the queen leaves the room, if she has a stump and a small body, she should be eliminated immediately. Virgin queens mating and spawning are usually 9 to-11 days after leaving the room, individual 12 or 13 days, more than half a month mating virgin queen should also be eliminated. After the virgin queen begins to lay eggs, whether she is a good king or not depends on her performance after laying eggs.

Sixth, whether it is a good king or not depends on the performance of all aspects after spawning. In the mating group, the empty spleen in the strong group should be exchanged immediately after laying 1 spleen egg, and the 4 spleen eggs should be induced into the production group for further performance test. In the production group, the output of laying eggs, honey, pulp and pollen is not lower than that of the same group, or even higher. Only the new king can be regarded as a good king.

Equipment for breeding honeybees

1. Beehives: beehives, which we often call beehives, are places where bees perch, breed and store food. The beehive is composed of a large cover, a grass curtain, a covering cloth, an auxiliary cover, a nest spleen, a partition, a partition board, and so on. There are thousands of neatly arranged and connected hexagonal hives on both sides of the spleen.

2. Bee spleen: the spleen is fixed on a wooden frame, which is called a nest spleen. According to the number of honey, pollen and larvae on the nest spleen, they are called honey spleen, powder spleen and son spleen respectively. According to the age of the big boy spleen is divided into: egg spleen, worm spleen, lid spleen and empty spleen. The beehive with 10 frames of spleen is the most widely used standard beehive. The beehive can be expanded in time by stacking the relay box.

3. Bee path: the distance between each nest and spleen is called bee path.

4. The king board: the king board is used to separate the breeding area from the honey storage area, which is beneficial to the maturity and collection of honey and improve the production efficiency.

A preliminary understanding of honeybees

Before keeping bees, let's learn something about bees. At present, China has 7 million swarms of honeybees, of which 90% are European bees imported from abroad, including Italian bees and northeast black bees, and 10% are Chinese honeybees. Italian bee, referred to as Italian bee. It is widely raised in North and Northeast China. The queen bee has strong fecundity and worker bee breeding ability, which not only plays an important role in production, but also is an important breeding material.

The northeast black bee is the excessive type of European black bee. It has strong fecundity and good overwintering performance in cold areas. But strong groups cannot be maintained in areas with low latitudes. Chinese honeybee is referred to as Chinese bee, which is suitable to live in Northeast, Northwest, North China, East China, Southwest China and other areas. Chinese bees fly quickly, have a keen sense of smell, are diligent, disease-resistant, cold-resistant and heat-resistant. However, the honey production and the ability of secreting royal jelly were slightly lower than those of European honeybees. Through the introduction, you can choose the right variety and take corresponding feeding measures according to the specific conditions of each region.

Summer management of honeybee farming

1. Honey period preparation: in order to ensure the high yield of honey jelly in the main honey source period, a large number of worker bees in the colony should be kept in an active working state as far as possible, and concentrate on collecting nectar and producing royal jelly. However, it is too late to do this work in the main honey source period, and we must make full preparations according to the plan of beekeeping production, the local conditions, the starting date of the main honey sources and the connection of various honey sources.

2. Organizing honeybee colony: the amount of honey collected by the strong colony is much higher than that of the weak colony. In the main honey source period, a beehive can artificially adjust the colony and hive, and organize part of the strong colony to collect honey, which is much higher than that of each group. In addition to the merging method of weak groups before the honey period, the primary and secondary matching method is relatively simple and easy. The two parallel boxes of bees will move the auxiliary box away so that the field bees will be put into the main box, and the main box group will collect the bees and add the spleen or the second relay box depending on the group potential, while the removed secondary box group will reduce the number of collecting bees, but there will be a lot of feeding bees, which is conducive to reproduction and can create conditions for the next honey source to collect honey.

3. Oversummer management: the summer climate is hot, the source of honey and powder is lacking, and the enemy is serious, which is difficult for beekeeping in South China. If the breeding and management is not good, the population will be greatly weakened, resulting in autumn decline. On the surface, the difficulty of oversummer is caused by high temperature, but in fact, it is the result of lack of honey and powder sources. as long as there are honey and powder sources, bees can still collect when the temperature is low in the morning and evening in the high temperature season, and the queen bee does not stop production completely.

There are still many bees raised in our country, we all know that the market demand for honey is great, and honey is the best tonic for beauty, so it is very good to eat it yourself or give it to people. And now China's honey market is relatively chaotic, good honey is very popular in the market.
