In February, many rural areas in Duchang went into winter leisure after the autumn harvest, but in a cattle shed in Hushan Zhubin, Cailing Town, Duchang County, it was still a hot scene, with dozens of cattle standing in front of the fence drinking water and eating fodder. a young woman in overalls carrying buckets is adding feed to the beef cattle in the shed. She is Tan Zhenjuan, a well-known local university student village official. It is hard to imagine that she is such a "weak woman". She is not only a "female village official" who is rooted in the countryside. She is also a rich "strong woman" who teaches herself skills, raises funds and makes a fortune by herself.

In September 2012, she participated in the open selection of university student village officials and served as an assistant to the director of the village committee in Mingshan Township, Duchang County. At that time, Tan Zhenjuan not only had to take good care of all village affairs, but also often went into the village to have a discussion with the masses, listened to the demands of farmers' production and life, solved various problems and contradictions, and found a way for the development of the village. At that time, a large number of successful entrepreneurial deeds of excellent college student village officials emerged all over the country, and Tan Zhenjuan could no longer contain her blood. After considering various factors, she locked the direction of starting a business in the cattle industry. Tan Zhenjuan said: "in early 2012, my father planned to raise cattle and asked for my advice. I supported him very much. On the Dragon Boat Festival in 2012, eight Jiangnan buffaloes were introduced from Leping for the first time. Through the practice of raising cattle for half a year, I have mastered the knowledge of disease prevention of common cattle. Looking at the beef market in recent years, I find that the cattle industry will have business opportunities in the next five years. For this reason, I decided to go all out to start my second career and embark on my road as a 'cowboy'. " Feel the stones to cross the river self-study techniques to raise funds because Tan Zhenjuan raised cattle in all the mountains, so she adopted the deep mountain stocking method, and found that the cattle grew slowly after 3 months. Later, after consultation, it was learned that the grass and climate in the mountains were not very suitable for the growth of buffaloes. So in the spring of 2013, she moved the cattle to the fields and found that the increase was not obvious three months later. After consulting the relevant materials, it was found that the growth rate of Jiangnan buffalo was limited because of its own characteristics, so she traveled north and south to introduce improved breeds of buffalo from all over the country. In May 2013, 12 Morada buffaloes were bought from Pengze and Hubei, respectively, and their growth rate is observed to be twice that of Jiangnan buffalo. Beef prices skyrocketed in 2013, and the prospects for cattle farming boomed. Tan Zhenjuan not only poured out her family's savings, but also raised funds around to expand the scale of raising cattle, resulting in no brick by brick to protect the cattle from the wind and rain. At a time when she was worried, she heard that the state had a policy to support the entrepreneurship of college student village officials. In October 2013, with the strong support of the organization and the help of friends, she was lucky to get 100000 yuan in start-up loans. After the Spring Festival in 2014, she used the money and all her family savings to buy 25 Morada buffaloes in Zaoyang, Hubei Province, adding up to 45 new buffaloes, thus setting her cattle industry on a large scale. On May 18, 2014, Tan Zhenjuan had the honor to participate in the 2014 training of rural practical leaders jointly organized by the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee and the Ministry of Agriculture as a representative of village officials in Duchang County. Through this training, not only let her broaden her horizons, but also let her sprout the consciousness of the little rich with the rich. After the training, Tan Zhenjuan actively mobilized villagers to participate in the cattle industry. With her efforts, she set up a professional cooperative for Hushan cattle farmers in Duchang County on September 3, 2014. At present, the cooperative has five members, with a total capital of 830000 yuan. The establishment of the cooperative indicates that the local cattle industry has embarked on the road of marketization. Today, Tan Zhenjuan's cattle base has raised 64 buffaloes. In terms of breeds, the original petite Jiangnan buffalo has been transformed into today's large and robust Indian Mora buffalo. From the perspective of the nature of the industry, her cattle industry is now a professional organization with five members, rather than a pure farmer. For the future, Tan Zhenjuan is full of expectations. She said: "although the scale of our cattle industry is not large at present, the relevant hardware facilities and software technology are not complete, and the role of the cooperative has not yet played its due benefits, but I will continue to innovate ideas with an insatiable entrepreneurial spirit, strive to expand the scale, turn small wealth into public wealth, and really make my own modest contribution to the construction of a new socialist countryside."
