Every year from May to October is the spawning season for turtles. Most of the turtles lay eggs in the early morning, evening and night, and a few at noon, so the time to collect eggs should be after 3 pm. Before collecting eggs, you should first clean the egg collection tools, and the egg collectors should put on clean shoes and enter the spawning ground. At present, it is the peak spawning season, and problems may arise if you pick up eggs carelessly. Tortoise farmers are advised to pay attention to the following six links:

1. "find": before taking eggs, you can find out the place where the eggs are laid according to the traces reached by the tortoise claws and the web. You can gently insert them into the sand with your five fingers, and gently remove the sand when your hands feel something. 2. "label": after the egg is found, the egg cannot be taken immediately, and a label should be inserted on the sandy soil. 30-48 hours after birth, the embryo has been fixed, the distinction between the animal pole (white) and the plant pole (yellow) is obvious, and there are round white spots at one end of the animal pole before egg collection. 3. "take": according to the sign, gently pluck the mouth of the hole with bamboo pieces of sand, and then use bamboo clips to take eggs. When taking eggs, you should gently pick them up along the arrangement of eggs. Do not pick up 4 or "release" with one finger: eggs can be collected with buckets, pots or boxes. Generally, the bottom is covered with a layer of fine sand 2 centimeters thick, and the eggs are laid flat on the sand. After collecting turtle eggs, hatch them in time, do not store them for too long, let alone bask in the sun, and pay attention to moisturizing. If there is a white circle in the center of the egg, it is a fertilized egg. Unfertilized eggs, poorly fertilized eggs, deformed eggs, eggs with black spots on the shell and shell ruptured eggs should be removed. 5. "Ji": mark the time of the fertilized egg to facilitate the calculation of the shell time of the tortoise in the future. 6. "loose": after taking the eggs, loosen the soil and level the spawning ground, and spray some water in case of drought. On the one hand, it is beneficial for the later spawning turtles to dig the spawning pit and prevent the female turtles from being eager to spawn and cannot find a comfortable spawning position.
