Introduction in the case of a small amount of culture, the species of toad mainly depends on capture.

Most adult toads leave their hibernation caves at the end of March or early on the 4th and slowly climb out of the water. Toads like warm, dark and humid environments, and usually live in grass and soil holes on the edge of ditches during the day, or dark and damp places such as bricks and stone holes at the back of the house, which are generally difficult to find. On rainy days or after rain, it is often easy to catch on the open land by the river or by the pastoral path. During the spring ploughing season, there are more toads in rape fields, green manure fields and on the paths of seedling fields, which can be caught in large numbers. The best time to catch toads is on a warm, windy night. Every evening, about two hours after dark until dawn the next day, toads come out to hunt insects and can catch toads at any time. At this time, the largest number of toads is in the open space in front of the house and behind the house, especially in the middle of the night. Sometimes dozens to hundreds of jin of toads can be caught in a few hours. The capture method is to gently hold the toad with a wide bamboo clip, put it into a bamboo basket or a wooden box with gaps, and do not put it into a closed container in a plastic bag to prevent suffocation. Caught at night, a three-battery flashlight shines on the toad, and it won't run away easily. Because the toad has short limbs and poor jumping ability, it is generally slow to crawl, so as long as it is found that it is easy to catch, the proportion of male and female of toad is generally 3 females and 1 male. The fertilization rate can reach more than 90%. The stocking density is 1: 2 pairs per square meter.
