Last Updated: 2024/11/06, 1 early weaning many farmers artificially weaned early when raising wild boars in order to breed early and let piglets go on the market earlier. Due to the underdeveloped mammary glands, small lactation and short lactation time of wild boars, early weaning can easily lead to small and weak piglets.

1 weaning prematurely

When raising wild boars, many farmers artificially weaned their piglets in advance in order to make them breed and piglets listed earlier. Due to the underdeveloped mammary glands, small lactation and short lactation time of wild boars, early weaning can easily lead to small piglets, weak physique, poor adaptability to the environment and gastrointestinal function, and easy to cause diseases. Feeding practice has proved that it is better for wild boar piglets to be weaned for 45 days.

2 the feed is unreasonable

Wild boar is naturally tolerant of rough feeding, likes to eat green grass, green vegetables and other green feed, and the food intake is small. In artificial feeding, green feed accounts for 70%. Only two meals a day need to be fed. On the other hand, when some farmers raise wild boars, they are all fed full-price feed, so that wild boars are not in estrus because they are too fat. Although the sows can return to normal estrus by increasing the amount of exercise and restricting feeding, the time is generally delayed for several months, which not only wastes time, but also wastes feed and increases the cost.

(3) not paying attention to epidemic prevention and sanitary disinfection

Many farmers do not attach importance to the use of vaccines, or immunization methods are not standardized.

In addition, some farmers have a weak concept of health and epidemic prevention, and rarely take disinfection measures. In fact, disinfection is the simplest, most effective and fundamental measure to prevent diseases. The pig house should be cleaned and disinfected every 5 days, and triple disinfection pools should be set up at the entrance of the farm, the production area and the door of the pig house.

Pigs have more excreta, which is easy to cause the reproduction of bacteria and pathogenic microorganisms. if the pig house can be kept hygienic, it will minimize the reproduction of pathogenic microorganisms and put an end to the spread of disease. However, at present, most of the farms have poor hygiene, cross-flow of sewage, stench, mosquitoes and flies, which can easily cause the epidemic and outbreak of diseases and affect the efficiency of breeding.

(4) not paying attention to technical learning and training

At present, some farmers do not go through formal professional training when introducing species, which leads to many problems in the process of breeding, thus affecting the efficiency of breeding. In addition, in breeding, do not pay attention to technical learning, do not timely observe the mental state of wild boars, feed quantity, drinking water, activities and changes in urine and urine, problems can not be solved in time. Due to the differences in technology and management, there are many differences in reproduction rate, survival rate, growth rate and economic benefits of wild boars.

(5) not paying attention to the quality of pig breeds

Some introduction households are greedy for convenience and cheap, or are deceived by some illegal farmers to introduce some special wild boars with only 12.5%-25% consanguinity of purebred wild boars, whose appearance and quality are almost the same as those of domestic pigs. and disease resistance, rough feeding and lean meat rate are poor, how can we achieve good benefits?
