Fish contain more protein and minerals and vitamins, which is a kind of feed raw material with rich nutrition. But many fish, especially freshwater fish, contain thiaminase in their gills and viscera, which can destroy vitamin B1 in feed and crocodiles. If you eat this kind of fish raw for a long time, it is easy to cause alligator vitamin B1 deficiency, you must pay attention to additional vitamin B1 supplement.

The commonly used fish are Loach, green squid, yellow fish, gourd seed fish, fin fish and fresh sea miscellaneous fish. Green scale fish, yellow green fish, gourd seed fish contain more fat, and palatability is not good, the dosage should not be too much, in the crocodile breeding season should not use this kind of fish. Crocodile feeding should not be excessive, and it is best to mix it with other animal feed. Marine miscellaneous fish can be fed raw, and the feeding effect is better.

In breeding, fish can be used as the main feed for alligators. At present, it is advocated to feed fresh live fish to alligators. Because the nutrition of live fish is relatively complete, it can also stimulate the appetite of alligators and increase their exercise in the water. If there are no live fish, you can feed fresh dead fish, but the alligator should be domesticated in advance to adapt to this kind of food. at the same time, dead fish must be fresh, and poisonous fish are forbidden to feed crocodiles. It is also forbidden to feed alligators with deteriorated fish, because metamorphic fish produce histamine, which is the product of fish protein decomposition. A large amount of histamine accumulates in human alligators, which can cause crocodile poisoning when it reaches a certain degree. In addition, fish tissue contains a large number of unsaturated fatty acids, unsaturated fatty acids are easy to oxidize and deteriorate, so fish should pay attention to prevent the oxidation of unsaturated fatty acids in the process of transportation and storage. If alligators eat oxidizing and rancidity unsaturated fatty acids for a long time will cause liposis, we must pay attention to it when using it.

(B) in other small animals in the wild, crocodiles can often prey on some small animals, such as chickens, ducks, geese, rabbits and lambs, as a source of feed; in the case of artificial breeding, they can be trained to feed on small unhaired animals and the carcasses of skinned fur animals. Attention should be paid to health and quarantine when using this kind of feed, and it is forbidden to use small animals carrying infectious diseases to feed alligators. In addition, when slaughtering leftovers with animals, the glands of animals contain larger hormones, which are prohibited from being fed to alligators during the breeding period, so as not to affect their reproductive performance. Inlaid with ferocious predators, it prefers to eat live animals and can generally throw healthy live animals directly to it.

(3) Pork, beef and mutton are commonly used in large animal meats. The protein content of fresh animal meat is relatively high, about 17%-21%, and the amino acids are relatively complete, especially the proportion of essential amino acids is balanced, so their biological potency is relatively high. Alligators also have a high digestibility of them, which can be used as a component of alligator protein feed.
