Family breeding peacock fish can choose breeding equipment and varieties according to their own actual situation. Those with a larger investment can buy a relatively high-grade aquarium, equipped with advanced aquaculture equipment, and buy more expensive varieties; those with less investment or beginners can buy or self-made general aquarium or breed with small fish tanks and containers, and the breeds of aquaculture can also be of lower grade. After having a certain breeding experience, they can be replaced with some valuable varieties, and the aquaculture equipment can also be gradually updated. The following is just to take a beginner who breeds peacock fish as an example to introduce the process of breeding.

First of all, go to the ornamental fish market to buy an aquarium. The simplest aquarium is about 20 RMB50. It is not too big. It is generally 60 long, 30 wide and 40 high. When you buy it, you need to test the water to make sure it doesn't leak. Can also be self-made according to their own indoor environment or customized in the glass store, so you can choose a more appropriate size, more harmonious with your room. Self-made fish tank can go to the glass store to buy the right size of glass (usually thick with 5mm), the edges will be polished, and then buy a bottle of special glass glue for fish tank, self-bonding. The glued fish tank should be placed for more than 24 hours before you can test the water. add a small amount of water before testing the water, just past the bottom of the tank to see if it is leaking. If it leaks, pour the water first, wipe it dry, dry it, use glue to make it stick, and then test the water after the glue is condensed. Gradually deepen the water level when testing the water. After the water test is closed, soak the fish tank with water for one day, pour the water out and put it into the tap water exposed to 2mi for 3 days in advance, and then you can release the peacock fish.

Peacock fish can be bought in the ornamental fish market. Purebred peacock fish are more expensive because the quality of their strains varies from about 30 yuan per pair, while hybrids or degraded species are generally cheaper, usually 3 yuan per pair. Purebred peacock fish generally have better characteristics, such as larger individuals, large and extended caudal and dorsal fins, purer colors and distinct characteristics. Hybrids or degraded species, on the contrary, tend to have more miscellaneous peacock fish in the seller's fish tank, and there are great differences in color and shape. For those who are beginners to raise tropical fish, it is more economical to buy hybrids and degraded species, and it is not too late to raise purebred species after having some breeding experience. There are also many outstanding individuals in the hybrids, and the flowers and colors are relatively rich. Through their own careful breeding, they may also be able to cultivate new varieties with excellent characters. The key to the selection and purchase is to select males, try to choose individuals with large individuals, large caudal fins and stretched caudal fins, and females try to choose mature individuals with large size and lively swimming.

After selecting peacock fish, they can be raised in a fish tank, and then there is the problem of erbium material. Peacock fish do not have high requirements for erbium feed, and water fleas, water worms or mixed pellet feed can be used generally. These erbium materials can be bought from ornamental fish markets or flower, bird, fish and insect stores. Among the above three kinds of erbium, peacock fish prefer water fleas (live), followed by water worms, and then with erbium, but there are exceptions. If the quality of erbium is very high, it may be more beneficial to peacock fish. Because the live erbium material is not easy to store, so matching erbium material is basically necessary. Usually, you can feed live erbium as much as possible. If you are busy at work and can't afford to buy live erbium, you can use erbium materials for emergency. Compared with water worms, live water fleas generally use more water worms because of their survival time. The bought water worms can be put in a more irrigated container, put in water that just doesn't pass through water worms, and keep changing water once a day, so that water worms can survive for a long time. Each time you should not put too much erbium on the line, so as to prevent the fish from eating too much, affecting the growth, and even decomposing the residual erbium in the water to damage the water quality and make the fish get sick.

In the process of breeding, do not change the water frequently, because the water environment changes too much will cause fish discomfort, and even fish disease. In general, when the water in the aquarium is not too dirty, it is enough to change the water once a week. When changing the water, do not change it all, but only change 1MB, 4MB, 1max, 3pm, and no more than 1max 2. The optimum living water temperature of peacock fish is 18 Mel 24 ℃. In the absence of heating facilities, it can meet its requirements at room temperature.
