Last Updated: 2024/09/16, 1. The suitable area of lotus root field for field construction is 1 Mu, which is generally 1 MUE 1.2 m deep. Aquaculture ditches are dug around the field, 1.5 mi 2.0 m wide and 0.8 mi 1.0 m deep, and the inlet and outlet are diagonally open to keep the field water clean and prevent the accumulation of toxic substances from harming fish.

I. Field construction

The area of lotus root field is 2 mu, generally 1.2 m deep; culture ditches are dug around the field, 1.5 mi 2.0 m wide and 0.8 mi 1.0 m deep, and the inlet and outlet is diagonally open to keep the field water clean and prevent the accumulation of toxic substances from harming fish; fermented manure of 12 cubic meters per mu is applied as base fertilizer.

2. Cultivation of lotus root

Planting begins in March and April every year when the temperature reaches more than 15 ℃. When planting, the lotus root seed is buried in the soil, the head of the lotus root is a little deeper, and the tail section is slightly raised to the surface of the water, showing an inclination of 20 mi 30 degrees. The arrangement directions of lotus root species crisscross each other, one row to the east, one to the west, and the second row to the first row opposite to the first row, so that the lotus root and leaves are evenly distributed; the row spacing is 2.0 meters, the plant spacing is 1.5 meters, and the planting depth is 1015 cm.

III. Fish fingerling restocking

In the middle and late May, when the water temperature is right, the fish fry will be released in time. Fish species use non-large herbivorous fish, such as eel, Loach, crucian carp, carp, silver carp and so on. Fish species should be diversified to make fish in different water layers match with each other and make full use of water space. Carp have the characteristics of ground maggots. Stocking some carps can effectively prevent a large number of ground maggots. The stocking specification would rather be large than small, and the density should be 200 / mu, 300 tails / mu.

IV. Field management

1. Field inspection: attention should be paid to drought and waterlogging prevention, timely drainage to prevent fish escape in rainy days, and timely water injection. If the water quality is too muddy, it can be improved by sprinkling alum. When it is sunny and rainless for a long time, water should be injected in time.

2. Water quality control: keep the shallow water level within 10 days after planting lotus root, in order to increase the water temperature and promote germination; in the period of vigorous growth, keep the water level 15 cm 20 cm; during the period of lotus root formation, the water depth should be 5 mi 10 cm. Sprinkle and disinfect the whole field with 40 g / m3 of quicklime every half a month.

3. Topdressing: when the field couplings grow 4 standing leaves and bear lotus roots, the manure or farm manure is applied to 300 Mu and 500 kg per mu. Fertilization should be carried out on a sunny and windless morning. The period from July to September is the peak of fish intake, and it is appropriate to put an appropriate amount of rapeseed cake with both feed and fertilizer functions.

4. Field lotus root management: when the standing leaves are covered with the pond, the concealed floating leaves and aging early standing leaves should be removed in time to maintain the ventilation and light of the pond; timely remove too many aquatic plants in the field to prevent the field lotus root from competing for nutrition; bend the pedicel after budding, but not break, which can avoid the consumption of nutrients; put an end to the application of highly toxic and residual pesticides such as methamidophos, in order to protect the safety of fish.

5. Setting up black lights: in the evening from May to October, several energy-saving black lights are hung 15 centimeters above the ditch to trap moths and other insects in the field as food for fish culture; generally, the peak of trapping insects has three stages. that is, late May, late July, late September, lasting about 10 days.
